worked great on Linux

Attached it to a Linux server, formatted it EXT2 (2 minutes tops) and the drive showed up. I saved the data to the drive with the cp command, clicked "safely remove device" and removed the drive. Attached the drive again - OS found it and the data within seconds.

However, I wish the USB cable from the drive to my computer was longer. Would make it a lot easier to use with my laptop in a mobile atmosphere.
