Was looking for a cheap external drive. Found this one much cheaper than the PC version. The PC found it and all you have to do is initialize it in Disk Manager and reformat it to work with Windows.

I purchased this product to back up DVR recordings from my Dish Network Hopper This hard drive, once formatted, integrates perfectly with my dish DVR.

Needed easy storage for business. It filled the need

Buy it plug it in and it's ready to use. My 3rd one.

Bought to back up a mac, working well for our needs.

My relative told me about this product I wasn't even sure what it did but once he helped me install it it's been great being able to watch movies anytime I want

Supposed easy set up was not as easy as it was touted. You can't see what was backed up and choose what you want backed up.The pictures in the tutorial is not what is on the computer. After initial backup, it keeps showing backup failed and never gives a reason.

This drive worked right out of the box; no issues.

Backing up my files was quick and easy, but only after I had to updated my computer. I guess it's a little too outdated with the external drive's technology.

I purchased this drive to store professional photos and keep a continuous back up. It is much better than the online backups and much easier to retrieve files.

Down load was easy. I plugged it into my computer and followed the instructions. I let it backup my files and only took 1 1/2 hours, yes I have a lot of files.

Seagate has always provided solid drives that quickly store and retrieve files. Compatible with 'Time Machine'.

Great customer service, but it’s a pain in the proverbial backside to drive 45 miles to exchange and item that I wanted but the CSR’s didn’t order properly. Now I’ll have to make the treck once again to get the unit I need...

I had to replace my DVR but didn't want to lose all the movies/programs I had already recorded. Additionally, I can now save movies I have already viewed instead of deleting them to make room for new ones!

i couldn't be happier with the Seagate with my Apple devices and with its portable design and finish, best of all worlds.

I found the Seagate to be easy to set up. That was a relief. My previous drive was difficult to set up and understand how to operate.

Fast 3.0 sub connection is very noticeable over my old 2.0 drives. The size is great since I've recently moved from large desktops to MacBook Pro.

Fast, compact design. Only downfall (in my opinion) the USB plugs loosely into the hard drive causing it to become unplugged if the desk gets jiggled (say by a scratching dog).

Bought this in store when I took my computer in for Geek Squad repairs, they needed to back it up before working on same. Instructions would be nice as I cannot find instructions any where. Therefore, I am not sure what is going on.
