I am pretty happy with this product not just for the price. It is easy to use and has a large storage capacity. It is also compatible with both Mac and PC if you use both. The online support is great too.

I needed a backup right away, as my hard drive on my computer was crashing due to a temporary power failure. There is more space on this that I will ever use. Quick file transfer - very pleased. I will use this to backup a few computers. The only negative is that it is a little bulky compared to other slim designs.

I bought this hard drive to store photos. Still transferring them over from my computer, but so far so good. Easy to use for a beginner. The compact size is a plus too.

I bought this as a complete system backup and have been very pleased with the ease of setup and use to get complete system backups. Now whenever I have a need for files on my computer I can take this with me and if anything ever happens I will be able to completely restore my system.

I use the Seagate for backing up a MacBook Pro Retina. Its capacity is much larger than the solid state drive on the Mac; however, I like having extra space for storage. The drive comes in two versions. If you have a Mac get the product that's pre-formatted for the Mac, and vice versa.

I was looking for a strong back up option for my MAC and after much review decided upon this one. Actually, I have another 1 TB drive partitioned for a PC and MAC, and am very satisfied. So, now this makes two. Works well with Time Machine. I recommend without hesitation.

I really like this external hd because it is super simple to use. I have two other seagate hard drives, and didn't realize that this one has to be plugged in to use. So if you are looking for something easy to take on the go, pick a different one. If you need something to hold a lot of items at your office or at home, this is a good choice.

Was looking to expand storage for WiiU. Works great and now we have a ton of space for downloading games, etc. I ended up paying a little more than I wanted but since you cannot use a powered by USB external HDD without a USB Y-cable, it was a great substitute.

This is the 2nd seagate hard drive that I purchased. The only reason I needed a 2nd was because I was running low on space on the first one. The drive is very slim and easy to carry with my laptop computer. The drive also matches my Mac mini. Good price as well.

Works great with my Xbox One. Can see a difference in load times and looks really sleek next to my console. Perfect that it comes with its own power source and turns on and off with my Xbox so no need to worry about powering on/off both all the time.

My backup external hard drive crashed just after I used it to recover my files as my iMac died. Read the reviews at BB and other places. Shopped online to make sure my local BB had it in stock. Went there, bought it -- got home plugged it in to my new iMac and voila it ran time machine seamlessly. Small, lightweight, and decently priced. Haven't had the need to recover files from it. But so far so good. Might have opted for the 1 TB version as I don't think I will ever need the 2 TB. Finally feel like I got my money's worth.

This hard drive is very fast and I use it for my Time Machine backup and haven't had any issues. It's got plenty memory holding all my pictures. I am pleased. I recommend this product.

I have two of these external drives, one for my Mac notebook and one for my Mac desktop. I use them for Time Machine backups, and the external drives are simple to use, just plug it in and acknowledge that you Time Machine to use this drive for it's automatic backups. Reassuring to know that your entire system is all captured in case of the rare disaster that you happen to have a major system failure. I'm actually going to pick up a 3rd one of these for my wife's new MacBook that I gave her for Christmas.

I recently bought this hard drive to save my videos and photos and i love it. I don't need to worry about my computer internal memory anymore. It's not okay when you make your machine very slow because of all the data that you have.

Wanted to add extra storage on my DVR - read service provider's web site but recommended items were not available. Read site's spec - this matched and it worked PERFECTLY..

The external back up Seagate works well with my iMac desktop. It was easy to install and is working very well. There's also a very reasonable price on and was on sale.

I purchased this as an external hard drive for my Xbox One. Easy installation, basically plug and play just needs to be updated and formatted for Xbox which is a one click process from dashboard settings. Seamless integration while in use.
