I have had other brands fail and lose many irreplaceable moments that were digitally stored. Im using this on a MAC 27 inch with OS X 10.11.6 and letting time machine handle the backups. The drive was instantly located by the system and and I haven't had issue with it as of yet. Over 30 days in service.

Great Little Disk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a pair of these for my MacBook Pro. They were already formatted for Mac. I use Apple Time-Machine (TM). TM alternates between the two drives (automatically) on each backup. If for any reason I need to rebuild or restore the Mac internal drive (in my case it's a SSD), and the unthinkable happens such as a drive failure on one of Seagate's', no worries, the other will work!!!
