I bought this to add space for my PS5. It took less than a minute to format and now I can store games on it. Nice compact size so it doesn't stand out either. Well worth the money.

I downloaded one folder on the drive and when I went back today to get in the folder, it made a grounding sound and not will not open or even register as being attached to the computer. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM and waste $79.99 of your money.

3.63 TB ( actual size ) is not the 4 TB size that was advertised, However, the product so far is trouble free and quiet, I have been able to easily ( and super fast ) transfer data from my old 2 TB external to the new 4 TB one. If there is a drawback, it is that the blue light on top of the unit blinks while data is being transferred and it makes falling asleep somewhat harder as the whole room lights up in a blue hue. I placed a piece of paper over the unit to dull the light. I like that It also lays flat on my desk instead of the standing photo which was shown in the advertisement, as this makes it impossible to fall over. I think I will be purchasing a second one along with the Universal driver adapter, so I can transfer data from other drives which have stopped working. If you are not aware of what the Universal Driver Adapter is, check it out on YouTube and I'm sure you'll be getting one as well. It saved me over $1600.00 so far, as some data retrieval services can charge between $800 - $1200 a drive. The Seagate - Expansion 4TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Hard Drive is definitely a good purchase and should have been given 4 and a half stars, ( but there is no way to give a half star ) in my humble opinion.

I copied 5 portable drives, the main drive on my home computer and 12 USB Drives to the 4TB Hard Drive in a very short amount of time. Further-I ran a duplicate file software to remove duplicates. I now have access to all my info and can find them quickly and easily! A truly great time saver investment.

Shipping took longer than I expected, other than that the device itself is amazing, I connected it to my Xbox one and I don't think I'm gonna worry about running out of storage for the next couple years. The HHD is pretty fast . You won't regret buying this hard drive.

Works great on PC (Windows 10) and is perfectly compatible right out of the box so no formating necessary. I bought this one, 4TB, for my PlayStation 4 and it works great! You just have to format it on the PlayStation but other than that it's working great. Highly recommend for PC, Macintosh, and PlayStation. Honestly not sure on Xbox since I do not have that console. The only con is that it does make a slight noise when it is running but that is completely normal due to the hardware in the box. It's normal for a ticking noise to happen.

This is a replacement for an eight year old Seagate GoFlex 1TB drive that made some bad noises for a couple weeks before it failed completely. My experience with the previous Seagate drive is why I looked to purchase Segate again. I plugged in two cables and could immediately begin restoring my saved files. Very easy to setup and use. Speed seems fine. And with four times the capacity of my former external disk I hope to use this for several years to come.

Speedy, reliable, quiet and 4TB. Quick connection to my system and speedy backups. Able to copy 4GB in less than a minute. I've owned 4 similar Seagates going back over 5 years and all running strong.

All you need just open retail package, one power cable to wall outlet other cable to any Desktop or Notebook USB port : 2.0 version compatible, 3.0 version much better fast transfer data rate. first time plug it PC, Let computer system setting up hardware, after setting up Seagate Expansion HD, This Seagate Devie very easy to use everyday. Just Plug and play.

What a great little device! It's so easy to use and it holds a ton of stuff. I now have a few of them so I have a back up. It's so nice to just scroll through categories that I created to watch the movie I'm in the mood for. I have started giving my DVDs and blu rays to relatives which is freeing up a lot of space on my book shelves. I can actually put books on them now! Love this product and highly recommend it!!

I swapped this product from a Western Digital 4TB. The Western Digital had software issues relative to Microsoft Operating system. The Seagate gave me the same backup storage at much less cost and it functioned smoothly right from simple installation. It immediately synched with Microsoft operating system including the programmed time for backup. It has worked flawlessly. I recommend this product.

I purchased this product to combine 2 other external hard drives that I have. It has a fast transfer rate and works well with my windows. I also like the fact that its small enough to fit on my desk with everything else.

Simple to use and reliable. I only buy seagate. This is not too big and can fit on a desk just fine.

While I am moving away from portable storage with traditional rotating discs, this product has tremendous storage and small physical size.

I purchased the 4TB Seagate expansion hard drive when I upgraded to the Xbox One S in August. I'm extremely pleased with the amount of room I have for current and new games.
