Performance is definitely not disappointing. System boot speed is impressive. SSHD design allows for minimal writes to the flash memory while simultaneously reducing wear and tear on the HDD portion of the drive by reading frequently from the flash memory. The FireCuda SSHD drive is essentially a traditional HDD with a small capacity SSD added to the drive's controller that behaves like an additional cache for frequently used files. The FireCuda SSHD with its HDD mechanical spinning disks and NAND type flash memory is ideal for those who don't know what to store on an SSD and what to store on an HDD as you can't manually save anything on the NAND type flash memory. The SSHD firmware decides what to store on the flash memory and what to save on the HDD depending on how frequently you use specific data. So it's definitely more user-friendly.

Fast, but noisy
