The only problem I see is there is no documentation provided except on line. The device goes through a quick setup with little or no explaination of the different choices. The device has worked flawlessly, if it had a setting so it would run 24x7 as apposed to giving a max 60 mins before it goes to sleep it would get a higher rating

I really like the security and options with this unit. ROI is nice for a small business.

I bought this to store my collection of CDs so I could rip them and play them on my Sonos system without keeping my computer running or paying rent for cloud storage. I plugged it into my router, waited a few minutes, and there it was on my network. It's up and running with my Sonos with no problems. I'm happy.

I like the conveniences and piece of mind that I have all my pictures and video saved incase my phone is lost.

Have had the personal cloud about a month now. Got it specifically to run as a Plex server and it works great.

The backup software is buggy on Windows 10. The rest of the experience is satisfactory.

If you like quick easy setups for backup, this is your device! The only downside, well for me, is that I installed this in my media center, which is very small space, so I had to dislocate my shoulder to get the cables hooked up. Other than that, it's nice and quick setup...Go for it if you want to the weekend hero for the significant other.

I came in to purchase the WD personal cloud, however in talking to one of the Best Buy associates, he brought up the Seagate Personal Cloud, he also pointed out it was $10+ less than the WD, and had 3 as opposed to 2 TBs of storage. The only thing was I was misinformed about using this was the MacBook Air I had just received for Christmas. I was told there was nothing additional I needed to do to connect to my old PC & New Mac, however he was incorrect. He was also incorrect that it does not work with Time Machine. That's Best Buy! I love the product, it took a no time to set it up on the PC, however it took downloading software and a little extra fiddling to get it together with Mac. I love the automatic back ups with Time Machine, and I now feel my 100 GB of music is safe. I would recommend this product even to those who are not tech savvy. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!

This was the easiest personal server to set up. We have been using it a couple of days now, and it makes things so much easier to have a personal cloud, not to mention the pricing was on point!

If you plan to use it only on smart tv's connected via wifi or ethernet to your router than it's great because the seagate drive appears as an input on the tv, so whatever you have on the drive it's right there on the tv. The reason the personal cloud is not great is the media app, it still needs some work.

The set up is pretty easy, just follow the instructions. To access the files from a PC you have to install the S-drive software. Now the mobile app just back up the photos and videos in the public folder. You cannot access to your private folders from your phone or tablet. That's why I'm giving 4 stars.

I almost return this item. It wouldn't always connect to my devices. But the firmware update VASTLY improved the performance. One compliant is the noise it produces from time to time.

I am working with computers since the 1990 and this products give you the results than a NAS can not with out many hours of setting and preparation for a fraction of the price and a fraction of your time. Excelent product.

I am still traveling, but am anxious to get home and get it set up. That will make traveling and keeping all our pictures, etc. together so they can be retrieved anywhere we have internet available.
