Bought to use as cheap plex server

Does not work well for plex when trying to access remotely (buffering), also video files must be in .mp4 or .mkv fornat to work, I recommend .aac for your videos audio file format brcause it is nor powerful enough to transcode on the fly. Works with IFFIT to sync phone content, which is useful.

"Plug and Play" Personal Cloud.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was impressed with the very easy setup. In fact, out of box, I had it set up in under 8 minutes. Just plug in the ethernet to your wifi router, and it's done. It shows up on the network on all my computers. Tell each computer to back up to the Personal Cloud device, and they do, Mac or Windows or other OS. It doesn't matter. The Seagate OS takes care of it. There's no partitioning, formating or space allocation required by the user. It was truly "Plug and Play".

I was hoping for better app support and tv communication response times. Overall it allows me to access the files I need away from home but speeds vary.

Thankfully Seagate and Comcast came through with some solutions but frankly this is not a plug and play unit by any means.
