I really enjoy the remote start system. Comes in handy when it's getting late for work and you still need to warm up the car. Also prevents any theft while letting you know as the key fob goes off with its alarm in case of robbery. It's simply anti theft ball bearing tilt switch goes off too if your car gets hitched on a tow truck and hood alarm if popped open in case of battery/underneath hood robbery. The alarm sensitivity can be adjusted while geek squad is installing. Loved how they installed my alarm, no junk underneath my dash board. I feel satisfied on the no trimming or cutting my wires harness he simply added my viper alarm system to my trucks brain/computer. I got this security system specifically for the remote start and it's well worth it long range with a two way remote. Only thing is I drive a diesel and I haven't found a module to have it delay start until the manifold heater is done so I just have it set to a 40 sec delay

I bought a used Cadillac cts that didn't have the keyless entry remotes which means you can only open the car via the driver side door. Rather than buying a couple remotes and having the dealer program them, I opted for the remote start system with keyless entry and alarm. I'm very pleased with its operation and performance and intend on buying another one for my other vehicle. Best buy installation was courteous, professional and completed in a timely manner.

I bought this remote starter for the winter months. I also bought the smart start to go with it. A great item for the people who work in a building with no strait view to your car. The smart start lets you start your car from anyplace with your phone.

This unit has all the bells and whistles and not only is my car safer than before but I am able to do awesome stuff like remote start; open trunk open windows and locate car with Remote start app on phone.

I have had several vehicles and always go back to Viper. They are consistent have great quality, and packed with features. Have it installed by Best Buy and you have a lifetime install warranty. I like the smart start feature also. I opted for the less expensive remotes to keep them simple and affordable.

Bought this for my girlfriend. Ordered which only took a couple days to get. Setting up the appointment was a breeze. We had to wait a couple of weeks to get in on a weekend, but to be expected. We live in an apartment and remote start works from our unit.

So, let me start by saying that the alarm does what it's supposed to do. It isn't overly sensitive to vibration and the remote start works over a decent distance. The two-way remote lets you know if it did what you wanted it to do both visually and with an audible alert. Two reasons for the average review: First, the installer was nice and professional however he didn't have the two remotes programmed the same. I wanted it to require 2 pushes to remote start instead of one (didn't want to sit on the key and start the car). The two-way remote was fine, the one way remote wasn't (something I didn't realize until after I was home). After seeing this, I had to take off another day and go without my car for a few hours to bring it back for him to figure out what was wrong because he said it was impossible for the two remotes to be programmed differently (but they were). Second reason for the average rating is the battery life in the two-way remote. I've had the system for only about 8 months and I'm about to replace the batteries for a second time. Contrast this with remote that came as part of the key with my car that I haven't changed yet in over four years. If you don't change it, the remote will keep chirping and buzzing for a while after you push any of the buttons. Again, ti does what it's meant to do and I would buy the system again because of this but be prepared to spend a lot on button cell batteries.

It would be Nice. if thay don`T hook up somethink. thay need to tell you about it He did not put in the Neutral Safety Switch. I had to Order one. From Amazon

Just had Best Buy install a Viper system in my Truck. Excellent workmanship. No complaints. I highly recommend these guys. Sensor Adjustments are spot on with no false alarms. These guys know exactly what they are doing.
