Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, story, action sequences, and controls of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. However, some players find the game's difficulty challenging, citing a steep learning curve and demanding boss fights as potential drawbacks. A few also mentioned frame rate inconsistencies. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay mechanics outweighs the concerns regarding difficulty.

Really good quality game. The story is great and really gives you an ancient Japan feel with some mystical elements. This is NOT a hack and slash. You use more stealth and timing your attacks and the right time. I would recommend it.

This game brings a level of satisfaction that a lot of other games lag. It's hard enough to keep you on your toes and it gives you a lot of satisfying action based off of technical moves. It's not your normal hack and slash video game at all

I bought this at release and for some reason couldn't get into. Picked back up months later and it really clicked the combat really shines. If your not a fan of Dark Souls or Bloodborne you still may like this game I would give it a shot.

Basically Dark Souls in Japan, it's not as hard as Dark Souls but is still punishing, it also rewards aggressive combat so if you're used to Dark Souls you may have to get over a slight learning curve. Overall, very fun.

Sekiro, from developer From Software, is a beautifully coherent title that ups-the-ante in the action department. Smooth and solid gameplay, coupled with the perfect From formula, elevate Sekiro to the top of all action titles.

This is truly the best “souls like” game ever made. Miyazaki and the boys nailed it. Insanely difficult to begin, but tolerable when learned. So many new elements make this an unforgettable, and smooth experience

An excellent spiritual successor to the old Tenchu games with a little bit of the Souls' games DNA thrown in for good mix (it is the same dev after all).

Let's start by saying that this game is very challenging and it requires patience and practice. Not going to spoil anything but is a must have game, specially that this game won Best Game of The Year.

    Sekiro is Challenging and Rewarding

The first half of 2019 has been absolutely loaded with spectacular content and Sekiro is easily one of the highlights. It's like From Software took the SoulsBorne formula and mixed it with a Team Ninja game. The game play in Sekiro also has a different rhythm from SoulsBorne. There is more of a focus on offensive timing and countering than any of the SoulsBorne games. I also feel like the game feels quite a bit faster than even Bloodborne. There is also a jump button in Sekiro and the biotic grappling arm is simply brilliant. I absolutely recommend this game and it is probably my favorite game of 2019 next to DMC5. I especially recommend this game to players who love the challenging sides of games like DMC and Ninja Gaiden Black.

So let me say this. Sekiro is frustrating, difficult, annoying and very punishing, with all that being said I walked away enjoying every single moment. Sekiro goes down as one of my favorite games of this generation. Don’t get me wrong this game will make you walk away angry, but if you stick with it and learn to accept defeat then you will learn what it means to be a dope shinobi. The sword to sword game play makes you feel accomplished in so many ways. I put this over the souls series any day. If you have patience and a will to learn and adapt to crazy sword play then this game is a must cop. Outie 3000 y’all. On to the next game. By the way I loved this game so much I had to go after the platinum.

Huge fan of the dark souls- bloodborne games. For myself I would rank this right up there with bloodborne or dark souls 3 in terms of enjoyment. While the combat learning curve might be difficult ( for hardened souls veterans) since this rewards more aggressive offense.. I found the gameplay style my favorite. The graphics are impressive as well. As many other reviewers have probably stated: if you have the option of playing this on PC or console get the PC version! Those extra FPS will make a huge difference in the fluidity of the fast paced combat.

This game rewards patience-- it's not as hard as the people claiming it needs an "easy mode" say it is, but it's definitely no cakewalk. One of the best combat systems I've ever seen in a game.

Sekiro is a extremely challenging but rewarding game. It is a ton of fun but if your looking for something relaxing to pass the time with maybe go elsewhere. Loses a lot of the rpg elements of other FromSoftware games but goes all in on the action and skill.

Wonderful addition to FromSoftware's recent library of challenging RPGs. Quite different from Dark Souls and Bloodborne with much faster combat and movement. Really really fun

This game has all you could want. Just be ready to die a lot, as this game is intense. But I suggest to everyone who liked Dark Souls and Demon Souls to get this game.

Sekiro is as advertised with being a significant challenge of a game, but aside from the difficulty this game is beautiful and amazing. A must play if you're up for the battle!
