Customers consistently note the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of the Hi-Fi Stereo Headphones. Many also appreciate the long cord length and the affordable price. However, some users find the bass lacking and the volume could be improved. The lightweight design is another frequently mentioned positive attribute.

I use these headphones for my iMac while creating songs or playing music loudly. The bass is definitely not strong but it's still okay for media. I also use with my iPhone. When I have to wear headphones for hours, this quick affordable replacement worked great for me. For the price it's not uncomfortable or too light.

Good Headphones

I had these headphones for about a year with absolutely no complaints. The sound quality is great (for the price) and they're pretty comfortable for the most part. These headphones can allow one to listen to a wide variation of music; from hip-hop, to rock, to jazz, etc. My only complaint would be that these headphones may leak a lot of sound when listening at a high volume. I've encountered people telling me in public places that they can hear my music. Also, it's not very well manufactured. At the beginning, I said I HAD these headphones, but they broke very easily. But for that year I had them, they were great for recording, playing instruments, and listening.

Just bought these HPS and they are good sounding overall. I'm wanting more with bass though. I feel simple users will be thrilled and cheap people but I'm going to get another sennheiser that's more expensive. I need more bass for my hip hop/rap selections. Still goin to keep them for the long cord. They don't fail I'm just wanting more bass wise.

For $30 bucks, you can't go wrong. When it comes to sound, its very crisp and clean. Just the bass is poor. The cord is very long; which makes it great if you like to move around without worrying about tangling the wire or knocking something over.

Surprisingly nice head phones for low price.

I bought these to use with a simple version of pro tools software so I could make accompaniment tracks for my school and church choirs. The head phones are required in using the software, but I didn't have a lot of money to spend. I found these by browsing the head phone section at Best Buy. These Sennheiser phones were on the low end, yet looked like they were of an acceptable quality. I was not disappointed. They are comfortable and deliver a nice, functional sound with which to record. I also used them while viewing a movie on my laptop and, again, a nice quality sound for a very low price. Highly recommend.

We bought these headphones as a step up from the cheap headphones that we were going through weekly. I needed something that the children could use while playing the digital piano, and they kept breaking the cheaper headphones. We didn't want to spend a lot on a pair that would be used all of the time by children, and this was our compromise. The sound quality is great, and the long cord allows them to have a lot of movement without yanking on the headphones. Also, they have a lifetime warranty so if one ear does stop playing we can just bring it back to Best Buy to have them replaced (of course this does not include puppies chewing on them. . . sigh. I guess I still have to buy another pair. But I will, because they were exactly what we were looking for.

I love these headphones, great price, very comfortable. The only problem I can find is the over volume level is a little low. I set my laptop volume all the way up and the video volume all the way up, and It can be hard to hear in a semi noisy room. I mainly use them at a coffee shop, which is usually quit. Otherwise Sennheiser makes great products.

If you are an audiophile, a teenager, or have a home studio, these are the headphones for you. At first I was resistant, because I am a rapper, and a lot of the reviews were negative for one reason only: not enough bass. These headphones have GREAT BASS. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of bass that is actually in these headphones. The highs are crisp, the mids sound great, and the lows are really deep. These are the most perfectly balanced headphones that I have ever used. I would have to say at LEAST 10X better than the skullkandy ink'd earbuds. The build quality is excellent. If you like your music LOUD, then these headphones are for you. If you turn these all the way up, and put them on, you can't hear anything around you, and noone around you can hear what song you're listening to, but if you take them off, they're like speakers. Its amazing the amount of noise-isolation these have. THE BEST $30 I'VE EVER SPENT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

A very great set of headphones, the sound quality is exceptional, obviously not to be compared to higher end headphones, but certainly is the best bang for buck on the market.

I've owned 2 sets of these headphones and both of them had the same problem - the earpads are made of foam and it doesn't last long at all. When I wear them for long periods of time, they really hurt my ears which are already sensitive. The thing I do like about these headphones is they have pretty good sound. They aren't noise-cancelling though which is a problem because background noise can cause volume problems. I exchanged the first pair in-warranty and I intend to switch the 2nd pair for a different brand or a better model of Sennheiser. I wouldn't recommend this model.

Given their sub $30 price, the headphones are really good. Good dynamic range, good seal around the ears, not punishingly loud. But there are so many awesome headphones priced just a little bit higher, so its hard to recommend them, even though I found the build quality to be up to sennheiser's usual high standards (although I've only had them for a week so YMMV).
Would be a great gift, or pair of "starter" headphones for someone who wants to hear what music is supposed to sound like when its not on a $3 pair of earbuds.

Sennheiser HD201s Deliver

I was looking for an affordable set of closed ear headphones that produced great sound (for PC/console gaming, laptop, iPod, etc.) and was also lightweight, and the HD 201s fit the bill. They were professionally packaged as like all Sennheiser products and come with a 1/4" adapter... nice bonus there. The cord is also very generous which is always important for non-wireless headphones, just note that each earcup is wired which I actually prefer over the 'only one earcup is wired' approach.
The HD 201s are indeed lightweight just by picking up the retail box, and have excellent build quality overall. I owned an older set of Sennheiser headphones and the headband cushion eventually started loosing adhesion, but this one is secured by a couple of mounts on either side of the inner headband, so it's unlikely you'll have that problem with these headphones. They're also fairly adjustable to fit a variety of melon sizes, and the earcups swivel and tilt for added comfort.
The HD201s passed all my tests in terms of producing great sound levels. Crisp bass thundered from the likes of Crystal Method and Metallica, but not to the point of being overwhelming. Treble was also spot on and there was no noticeable distortion or static in the background. Of course these are not noise cancelling so you'll still be able to hear a bit of your surroundings when you don't have audio pumping through, although muffled. And they do tend to make your ears a tad warm so you'll probably not be able to use them for hours at a time. All in all though, a great bargain for only 20 bucks as of the time of this review... just be sure to buy it at the sale price!

I have two offices and purchased these headphones for my second office (I have a pair of Sony MDR-V150's at my other office), and these Sennheiser's really pale in comparison. They are noticeably less powerful, don't have the same rich sound and ability to recreate a lot of low frequencies like the Sony's do. They also tend to crack/pop with some high frequencies. They do, however, reduce a lot of ambient noise, which the Sony's cannot and are uber comfortable. All-in-all, I'm satisfied with these headphones, but not impressed at all. If you're looking for great sound and ambient noise is not an issue, save yourself $10 and pick up a pair of Sony 150's.

I like the comfort fitting, good sound, and the reasonable price. I have had wireless headphones previously and have had failure after failure with those products. Wired products work for me because reliability is an important factor.

So comfortable, great for mixing due to its even mix - Not bass heavy like more expensive models, just clear sound. Great for everyday use - Laptop, cell phone, and MP3 player all sound good. Less fatigue and bigger sound than comparable earbuds. Love 'em.

this pair of headphones is the best pair ive had to date. i bought them for when im walking around traffic, and need to be able to hear my music without going deaf. for the price that they are, its hard to go wrong. i would also reccomend buying the geek squad black tie prtection for them... just in case.
overall, well worth the money spent, and great quality... now if they could just shorten that cord a bit...

I bought these after my Sony Over the ear Headphones broke. The price was right, and they are comfortable, but i wish they would transmit more bass. Definately worth the price tag for what you get, but dont expect greatness. I accidently stepped on them and broke the left phone off of the headset, but didnt wanna buy another pair so i fixed it with a plastic splint and electrical tape. I barely put on any weight on it when it happened, so the durability might not be that great, ive had headphones that were bulletproof in the past.
