Le creme audiophile grade cans. The sound is clean via BT. I use them for work. Better than self acclaimed gold standard QC35 BOSE. Yes. I bought all three. For test. BW P7. QC35 BOSE Sennheiser

These earphones are exceptional! The imaging is superb, and the separation is distinct. I also own Bose headphones but Sennheiser surpasses them. Listening to these headphones is an eargasmic experience. You will be engulfed by the sound. if you are an audiophile you will be profoundly impressed. If not, you will still be impressed.

I have quite a few headphones and I have been working on getting some wireless headphones that I can get the most out of. I think there is a fair amount to say about these but to cut to the chase, these are solid in construction (they feel like they cost this much), even though I have a large head, they don't press on my to make it uncomfortable, the noise canceling is great, the sound is nice and clean (balanced and without lots of bass), and they can be used as lined headphones if you run out of battery. Overall as great as expected. I like them over my Bose and aster and Dynamics.

These are by far the best headphones I've ever tested and now own. From the quality of the materials used and constuction, to the actual sounds these put out, I don't think anything can compare to these. The range is excellent. Really comfortable and light weight. You can really enjoy and pick out the detail in each note and instrument when listening to classical or jazz. Love these!!!

    Sennheiser sound on the go...

The Sennheiser Momentum is a product series whose goal is to merge the two most difficult attributes in modern day headphones, style and sonic performance. Here before you is the refinement of the original Momentum that started it all, the Momentum 2. The Momentum 2's packaging is typical of Sennheiser and immediately showcases quality and first class workmanship. Upon removal of the lid, the much reduced in size case is first apparent. The cable is mostly similar to the first iteration but no longer does it have the steel constructed in-line microphone and controls. You then get your typical quick start guide and Sennheiser's 2 year warranty registration booklet. Here is where the Momentum 2 simply outclasses nearly all headphones immediately. Not only do you get a protective zipper case, you also get a pouch. Nowadays the trend for such expensive headphones is to only include a pouch which is a slap in the face for such a costly investment. To even go further, Sennheiser includes foam to help keep the integrity of the pads composure while folded up. Now that's what I call quality packaging. And yea, folding, the new Momentum's can now fold which is nothing new in this day and age, but hey better late than never. The Sennheiser Momentum is simply gorgeous to look at. It's a very simple design at heart, but it's so well executed and tastefully down from the stainless steel arched headband, the glistening holographic Sennheiser logo and the stitched leather on the top of the headband. The ear pads are entirely redesigned and are soft to the touch. Finally, these can be safely called over the ear headphones thanks to the much larger in diameter opening of the pads in comparison to the previous iteration of the Momentum. The headband is essentially the same and maintains that fashionable low profile design that keeps the uniformity of the arch close to the head and reduces the bulge effect of larger headphones. Here we see steel reinforced folding mechanism that grants the Momentum 2 the ability to collapse down upon itself for storage. This should fare much better than something from the Beats Studio or Solo series with their plastic construction. The beautiful sculpted sound signature that I lusted over in the previous Momentum is thankfully unharmed. There's something about the level of refinement and soothing spark to the attack of the Momentum signature that is all too addictive. It's a very forgiving sound that still showcases the refinement that Sennheiser is all too well known for. The bass is very linear from 20hz to 250hz creating this sense of ease to the presentation. Immediately apparent over the previous iteration is the tighter control of the attack and the more precise rendition of decay resulting in one of the best bass performances that I have heard, period. It doesn't quite reach that last bit of laser tight composure of my planar magnetics like the Hifiman HE560, but boy does it deliver a dynamic slam when the music calls for it. Integration into the midrange is seamless like with the previous Momentum, but now due to the quicker pace the bass to midrange bleed that occurred when the bass became too complex in the recording that sometimes flawed the original momentum's has vanished. The midrange presentation is sonic gold. Sennhesier just simply knows the foundation of the music and the tonal balance required to reproduce all of the information recreating a true to life experience. Vocals, guitars, pianos or whatever instrument lies in this frequency all have this robust composure that remains grain less and endlessly smooth with incredible low levels of harsh transient that also induces vocal sibilance. Overall, the midrange is quite linear with a slow descending slope into the lower treble which highlights the lower midrange and restores the natural heft in the sounds in that region. The level of detail rendition is also simply stunning maybe due to the heightened level of treble over the first Momentum or just a superior transducer at work. The treble is very articulated, but most importantly more in-line with the music in terms of emphasis. The first Momentum simple was too subdued here and resulted a closed in soundstage that reduced the sense of speed and clarity of the music. The Momentum 2 raises the treble just enough to revive the harmonic decay in the upper stratosphere, but not cause them to be too bright for their intended use. This welcoming improvement in the rendition of the treble music grants the Momentum 2 one of the biggest soundstage performances that I have yet to hear from a portable headphone. The stage is larger in width than it is depth, but it's very satisfying to hear. In summary, Sennheiser has listened to the feedback from its consumers and reconstructed the Momentum both physically and acoustically to better adhere to their goal, uncompromising mobile performance.

    My Perfect Air Travel Companion

I was in the market for a solid travel headset when I fly. I have earbuds, but for some reason they are just not comfortable on a long flight. I spent about 2 weeks and about 20+ hours of research, countless listening tests to find the right ones. I am on a plane usually 1-3 times a month. Having tested it with my first flight today, I can say with complete confidence, I am happy with my purchase Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless, is close to perfect, has so many positive things going for it, that it should be on your short list for Noise Canceling Travel Headphones Pros •Design: Clean, attractive and functional (I really like the look of the stainless Steel Rails) •Great Dynamics for a Bluetooth NC Headset, but even better with the provided cable •Excellent high frequency response, with a clear detailed midrange •Bass was the best of the bluetooth models tested, this unit has apt-x for increased sound quality •Excellent Battery life: Over 50% battery after 10+ hours of listening •Good Noise Cancellation •Excellent range, about 10 Meters (33 ft) •Comes with Wired Cable, USB Charger, Nice Case, and Airline adapter •Built in mics work well when used as with my cell phone to take calls •Comfortable fit •2 year warranty vs 1 year of many other brands •Bluetooth easy to connect, especially with the NFC (Near Field Connection option) Cons •Noise cancellation is always on in bluetooth mode, no way to turn off •A bit pricey •Noise cancellation is good, but Bose does a significantly better job at it •You can only sync 1 bluetooth device at a time, newer models like Bose QC35 allow for 2 •Minor Gripe: Small multifold manual that comes with it, just download a copy from their site Focus on Design: The bottom line is that they look great. The stainless steel rails blend in perfectly with the quality stitched leather top, which has minimal padding, but is very comfortable with its light weight. The foldable metal hinges allow you to pack it away in my laptop bag, but it still a tad bit on the bulky side. While I don't quite have dumbo ears, they are big, but the headset accommodated them quite well and were comfortable to wear for extended periods. These are the over the ear models. Soft Leather ear pads, while a little on the thick side, are very comfy I worn them for a 4 hour flight without feeling the need to remove or adjust them, they never got too warm that would make them uncomfortable to wear. Features: As I stated, I was looking for a travel headset that I could actually hear on a plane w/o killing my ears and these fit the bill. There were some feature I was looking for that were also important •aptX Bluetooth •active noise cancellation Both work remarkably well. Since AptX is always on with my phone, I can not say for sure if there is a noticeable difference in bluetooth, but I will testify that they do sound very good. I did a comparison listening test with the Bose QC35 and found the Bose to have better noise cancellation, but lacking in overall sound quality compared to the Momentum. The best way I can describe it is that the bass on the Bose seemed "overemphasized" and a little muddy. The clarity while still very good, was not on par with the Sennheiser. The noise cancellation worked very well, as I missed a few calls on my landline during my initial test. There was a greater impact on low frequency sound. Best example, I had my TV on and I could still hear voices, but the bass was almost completely gone. It does the job on a plane, but the Bose perform better in this area. Sound Quality: Pearl Jam "Just Breathe", vocals detailed and are expressive. Guitar strums sounded accurate and have fullness to it. My only minor gripe is the bass is not as perfect on bluetooth and sounded a little less clear then when I had them plugged into my phone directly. The sound is pleasant and not fatiguing and easily enjoyable for long listening sessions. While I am not a huge fan of rap music, I did try some bass heavy tracks primarily to use for comparison against the Bose QC35. The low end carries some weight, it's detailed, but not on par with a quality set of wired headphones. When plugged into my phone or laptop, the quality of bass improved in the detail and clarity. For the sake of this review, in bluetooth mode, this is what sold me the most over the Bose. Base is not overblown like so many headsets try to do, it's much more accurate and doesn't take away from the song. SIDE NOTES: •You can run this even with the battery dead, but expect to take a hit in sound quality •AptX works on more recent android devices, check your model for compatibility, no aptx on apple http://www.aptx.com/ Overall I would rate these headsets a 4.5/5 and 4.9/5 for bluetooth NC headphones. There are a lot of solid options in this price range, but I would definitely add this to your list of demos if you are in the market for set of wireless travel headphones

Unless you are just fashion conscious and need to fit in with kids, these are the best choice. Build quality is high. Sound quality is almost as good as Etymotic (in ear). But for over the ears Bluetooth this is the set of headphones you want. Don’t pay retail. They are worth the wait for a sale.

If you love bass then this is the one to go for. Perfect combination of low, mids, and highs that is incomparable to any of QC 35s or Sony XM3s.

    Pros mentioned:
    Bass, Bluetooth, Noise cancellation

These headphones are a must buy. Got these headphones for an early Christmas present and they are perfect! Wanna block out annoying people or just wanna zone out? These have perfect noise canceling, almost similar to construction site headphones. The bluetooth connection is good as well. I can walk across the house and have perfect connection all the way to the other side. The sound quality is top notch, listening to music is clear and watching movies or TV is very immersive. The bass is quite exquisite and the overall fit is very comfortable. Great product overall.

    Ease of use

I got this because my Crusher Wireless Skullcandy headphones broke at the hinge. That seems to be a common breaking point with most of the plastic-type over-the-ear headphones that I have bought in the past. The major selling point then of course was the metal hinge here with these Sennheiser cans and the sounds quality I had heard so much about. They did not disappoint. They are now my primary pair I wear around the house, office, and home office when listening to music. The noise cancelling is decent but the overall sound from the highs to the lows is so immersive and clear. They are really wonderful and I was able to grab a pair on sale for $199.99. The only complaints I have had about these is: 1) These are hand crafted and so with the stitching you will notice a few spots where there is glue on the leather. Believe they did this to better secure the end stitches but I thought it was a defect or something gross at first. 2) I have had it happen many times when putting them on or taking them off and there is this real high pitch noise they let off. I think it is because of how they are grabbed and if you cover the mics a certain way. It is a bit difficult to replicate but happens occasionally and really annoying when it does.
