Love the sound of these new headphones. Very easy to use and charge. Actually quite comfortable as well.

I have a set of 185s and 599SEs, so I'm a big Sennheiser guy along with a set of Philips SHP9600s. Other than missing an optical cable, these don't seem to have much wrong with them, appearing to be barely used. That said I bought these for a very simple reason. I realized that my 185s were almost 10 years old at this point and wanted a backup for when they eventually just bite it. So with the open box, I figured I'd give them a shot. The stated reason they are fair is because they say they are damaged. I can't see any visible damage. And... they are fine. They are definitely less clear and pleasant than the 185s. I also actually prefer the SHP9600s. But when you want to listen to a podcast while cooking, it needs the wireless, and as a backup if the 185s are charging, these are fine. Maybe, maybe the driver is slightly messed up and is the damaged part, but looking at it there doesn't seem to be any physical damage. But really, it just seems like it's just not as detailed as the 185s... because they are the 175s. And they do seem to be better than the 599SEs. But all are... well, fine. I have banished headphones to drawers, like the Audio Technica M30Xs. These are way better than those. But do I think you should pay 175 for a brand new set... ehhhhhh, probably not? Mostly because that's a really nice price point for headphones. For 100, sure, absolutely and if you can get them for 60 like my open box, double absolutely. And considering the 185s are not made any more, this might be the best wireless headphones right now if you want a wireless receiver and not blue tooth? But as it stands, these are rank 3 of 4, so I can't be too positive. I'd give it 3.5 out of 5, but 3/5 is closer than 4/5. Most of the issue is quite simply that ABing the 185s robs it of its charm.

I wear, and have worn, A LOT of headphones. Partly because I have a slight hearing loss in one ear and I don't want to blast sound from the TV just to hear. I've tried some less expensive products from companies who we all think are leaders in this industry. While the Sennheiser RS 175 headphones are on the pricey end, I probably could have saved myself time and money in the long run if I would have started my headphone journey by picking the RS 175. I no longer have a single iota of an issue with static/interference like I did previously. The sound these produce along with no more issues with interference alone make them well worth the premium cost. I've worn these for hours and hours with no discomfort at any point of contact. Having an over the ear headphones keeps the majority of the noise contained. If you are really blasting the volume in the headphones, there will be some sound that others, not wearing headphones, can hear. As I previously mentioned, I have tried all types of headphones from a super long wired set of headphones to multiple different wireless sets and I could have saved all of that time and money if I would have selected the Sennheiser - RS 175 headphones to begin with.

These head phones are top notch, tone, base, etc, a pleasure to listen with. This is a case where you get what you pay for.

These headphones are absolutely amazing. We purchased them for our dad, who is a disabled veteran and has some hearing loss. They have made such a huge difference in our home. He can now hear the TV clearly without us having to turn the volume up loud throughout the entire house. They also work great with hearing aids, which was extremely important for us and made the experience even better for him. The setup was very simple and user-friendly, which was a big plus. The sound quality is excellent, and the comfort allows him to wear them for extended periods without any issues. I highly recommend these headphones to anyone who shares a TV but needs two different volume levels. They’re a game-changer, especially for families with loved ones who have hearing difficulties.

These headphones sound very good. I usually turn on my stereo receiver (with full surround sound) to watch movies, but these headphones sound almost good enough not to do that. The sound would be good enough, but the surround effects wouldn't be there. Still they are a huge upgrade over just the TV speakers and I can pick up the dialog much better. There is just a slight delay in the sound - you can't tell with just the headphones on, but if you take one ear off and have the TV sound on, you can tell there is a slight difference. You can't get this small of a delay with bluetooth headphones, bluetooth is way worse. Haven't tried to run the batteries down to see the life span. You do have to turn the headphones on each time you use them, even when taking them right off the charger. Takes maybe 5 seconds at most to connect.

I use these mainly for gaming. Very good sound quality. Not the most comfortable to wear though till you dial it in perfectly and then they are ok. Wires are prone to being loosened by cats walking past it which results in a crackling noise, not a issue if you dont have a cat. Connectivity, can only go about 15-20 feet before audio starts cutting in and out, but my house is very solid so if you live in a house mostly compromised of drywall and dreams you can probably expect longer range.

Great sound quality and easy to connect. The headphones themselves don’t feel like the highest quality but that feel is very deceiving.

Love these headphones, had these in my old house and I purchased them 4 years ago, they were awesome. Got broken in my recent move, so I went and got a new set. Just as good as they were the first time, That sound is incredible and I highly recommend, very easy setup. Make sure you charge them fully before you use them. Only charge them when they get down to about 20%. This will ensure you get long battery life.

Great overall headphones!! Got 2 pair to connect to my Oled TV and cannot be happier. My roomates dont like hearing loud surround sound of my system speakers, so this is a great alternative!! Havent tested them farther than 20-30 feet but they do work great with 2 headphones using 1 receiver.

I purchased Sennheiser wireless headphones and am extremely pleased. The clarity of sound across a very large spectrum of herz is exceptional. They are perfect for watching tv when you don’t want disturb others in the house.

Bought these for at night due to the fact I live in an apartment so I’m not blasting movies/tv shows/or games late at night and they sound amazing. Super easy to setup and battery lasts a long time. Also with these there’s zero latency which is great cause when I was originally just using Bluetooth headphones I would see people’s mouths move before I even heard the words. With these I don’t have that problem at all.

I got these to replace my Sony MX3s. They sound amazing and the bass boost is not over bearing. The surround option is pretty decent, but overall great headphones. The distance you can go from the receiver is pretty good as well with no drops.

Love RS 175 RF because I use it to listen to TV all the time. And if my wife wants to listen she can as the sound bar and the wireless headphone works in lue of or with the sound bar. The headset makes up for my hearing loss!

I have been using Sennheiser Wireless Headphones for over twenty years due to severe loss of hearing. One of my headphones finally quit working after 20 years plus, so obviously I wanted to replace with a Sennheiser product. So far, I like the new product, but I do miss being able to adjust volume for each ear. I am counting on this product being one of those "they still make them like they used to", and not the opposite.

Wow I can finally hear my tv shows and movie Blurays. These headphoones let me hear the presentation regardless of how much noise is being generated in the room from other sources. I also notice background sounds in the programs like for instance a scene inside a car which on the tv speaker only allows the dialog to be heard with these headphones I can hear the background music. I liked them so much I stopped by the store the other day to let the saleman know how plased I was with the purchase. The only drawback is during motion the sound will some times cut in and out but most of the time I can walk outside for an errand and still hear the show while outside.

Worked exactly as described. I use it strictly for movies but would work well for music too in a pinch.

Was an open box purchase and they work great. My husband can hear the TV without the volume turned up to the maximum level.

I have always struggled with getting good headphones audio that captures a cinema feel with booming bass and clear speech. I also happen to live in a major city in an apartment building, so blasting a surround sound set up is a no-go. While I have the excellent Sony WHXM4s that pair with bluetooth to my tv, the audio delay and lip syncing issues that come with bluetooth are horrendous and really breaks immersion. These headphones were exactly what I wanted. First, the overall sound quality right out of the box is already amazing. I would have been perfectly happy even if there were no effects to choose. The bass is already boomy without being overpowered. Speech is crystal clear. I seriously have picked up on dialogue that used to be garbled. You can toggle a bass booster or a virtual surround sound effect. I use the bass booster on certain content that needs a bit more oomph, but I found the virtual surround effect to just make things sound tinny and leave it off. They already have an immersive sound without it. They also get LOUD. Almost every pair of bluetooth headphones have had disappointing max volumes. I love that I can crank it and never even get up to the max volume. Next, there is absolutely no audio delay or lip syncing issues I can perceive. The radiofrequency signal is vastly superior to bluetooth in this regard. Other pros include easy charging (just plop it on the stand when done) and solid battery life (Have binged for about 6 hours without charging and no issues). The range is also ridiculous. I went to the other end of my apartment and on the porch with no signal loss. They are also very comfortable. Absolutely no issues wearing for hours at a time. I have very few cons with this as I think this is arguably the best way to watch movies with headphones. The virtual surround effect is not great though, as mentioned. You also may run into interference because it is radiofrequency. I had a disconnect once, but this was solved by turning off my 2.4 ghz channel on my wifi router. Also, you will get interference if you run a microwave (but only if it is close by). I will also say that charging stand, while functional, is a little cheap-feeling. Lastly, a very minor thing, but I wish there were audio prompts when you turn it on or when the battery is low. Overall, these are just nit-picks and I am beyond satisfied with these headphones.
