I purchased this item because I generally enjoy Fassbender's films. It's an interesting film, and I'd definitely recommend it.

Before winning his Oscar for the quintessential slave drama, "12 Years A Slave," Steve McQueen's "Shame" is an outstanding art film revolving around a businessman (Michael Fassbender) succumbing to a rare addiction, but tackles his personal life as his estranged sister (Carey Mulligan) moves into his home, causing emotional dismay to Fassbender's character. Anyone who is a fan of art films, or movies, in general, will find much to admire, given the subject matter. The movie is NC-17 considering there are graphic scenes including one which will make you feel squeamish so you can handle it. As for the BluRay itself, the picture and sound quality is stellar and does not disappoint as you'll find the blue hues in the cinematography illuminating in some scenes. Like most combo packs, this does have a DVD copy and digital copy, but you'll be somewhat irritated that the redemption code is valid for Android video apps. No iTunes nor Ultraviolet Digital Copy! Again, to anyone who admired McQueen's works or motion pictures will find much to enjoy in "Shame" and you'll get your money's worth if you're shopping for movies $10 & under.

This movie is an honest portrait of a man struggling with s*x addiction. He seemingly has it all, job, friends, potential love interests .... but his addictions/cravings are out of control. This is not a trashy movie, but one that deals with the pain and heartache this man goes through in coming to terms with his problem........... a very well written and acted drama if you can handle or like serious adult themes like this. Recommended with that caveat.

Shameless is a bold, raw film that pushes the boundaries of the human experience. Not for the faint of heart and a film only for a mature adult audience. Michael Fassbender is excellent in his stark, no holds barred performance and Carey Mulligan is heart wrenching as his troubled sister. Her bar room performance of New York, New York will touch you as it reveals the pain in her soul. A movie sure to invite debate and not to be missed.

This is the kind of subtly disturbing movie you really need to watch several times, as there are bound to be details you miss the first time...and second, and...The acting was amazing, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Fassbender. This is not action packed, and it does leave you with a lot of questions, but that's the point. This is a segment of a life, not a complete story from beginning to happy ending. I loved it.

Michael Fasbender (main actor) is wonderful in this movie. Any movie directed or produced by Steve McQueen has always been good. Very intense movie with Fasbender as a businessman who sidelines as a hit-man on the side. His sister comes to live with him and then he has to protect her.

I enjoyed the movie - arguably a bit slow at times, but great directing and an amazing performance by Michael Fassbender pulled it through. As for the product, I was shocked and amazed to find the Blu-ray/Digital/DVD three-pack sitting in one of the budget bins at my local BB. Picked it up without hesitation, and it as worth every penny. I've only watched the Blu-ray so far, but the quality was superb, and the included special features make this a good buy; especially at this price. Recommended.

As I stated in the title of this review, SHAME is an incredible film! Now with that being said, it is absolutely not for everyone. Yes, it is NC-17 and the rating is very well-deserved based upon very explicit content. But what do you expect seeing as the film is about a man struggling with a rough addiction. The performances are raw, emotional, and oscar-worthy at that. If you're into low-key indie films that have something to say, watch this movie (just not around your kids)!

One of many great Michael Fassbender performances portraying a man consumed by addiction to se*. I think many other topics remained untouched; his relationship with his sisters Sissy, why is Brandon the way he is, etc...

Being a fan of the lead actor already I was haunted by the actor's brazen selfish character. You kind of want to look away at times as it is so unforgiving but ultimately you are taken on a seedy voyage of discovery.

I loved this movie, but it is fairly twisted and depressing, yet ends with a bit of hope. It's unlike any other movie I've seen, and you can really feel the struggle of the main character.

Story of two messed up siblings. Both have their own problems . Can they help eah other or will they simply make life tougher than it already is? Well written look into peoples disturbed lives.

A really well acted film by Steve McQueen of 12 years a slave fame. Very edgy lead performance from Michael Fassbender. Not afraid to show the uglier side of his character. Well worth seeing.

Yet another film to stir my longing to be in New York City, not because of the subject matter of the film, but photography of it: one can breath and sense the air.

Exceptional film with great picture quality. Must see. This film finally got into my price point so I decided to pick it up and add it to my library. Happy I did.

This was a out movie date night, my wife didn't like it, it was ok, the story is ok, a little too much male showing. Thank god I paid 5$

Incredible performance by Fassbender as the slave to feeding an addiction culminating in self loathing because he can't create anything more than momentary physical attachments and then you throw in Mulligan as the visiting sister with her own baggage. Disturb yourself for 2 hours in this unique film.

This is a very mental movie...by that I mean it takes you into the mind of a functioning addict and shows you what he is thinking

I love the actors in this movie. The movie drags a little bet, but characters are so interesting you'll stay seated till the end.

Picked up this rare item at local Best Buy for fewer than $5.00. Intense Michael Fassbender performance.
