An affordable blu-ray reissue of a classic Western.

Classic old western. Inspired future westerns. Teaches honor and standing up.

Unfortunately, through no fault of your own, the dvd had scenes in the movie that were so dark that you could not see the actors and it took away from the enjoyment of this wonderful film.

Shane is one of the greatest and most beautiful of westerns. It is the most pure form of the "cursed cowboy" in which an outsiders comes to a town, saves it through violence but is then compelled to leave and wander forever. All the performances are great and George Stevens directs the film perfectly for a mix of nostalgia and tragedy. The commentary by Stevens' son is informative and interesting, though a little repetitive and stretched out. It's too bad there aren't anymore extras on the DVD other than the trailer.

I purchased thid DVD for my Father-In-Law. He's been looking for thid DVD for what seems like forever. I told him I'd contact your store but it wasn't at the store so I had to order it online. I did so and to make a long story short, my Father-In-law dropped everything and had to get home straight-a-way to see Shane when it was delivered. Great work!

Such a beautiful film. It makes me feel loved when I watch it. Another film I could watch over and over again and still want to watch it again. Please see this movie if you haven't.
