Very good first game in the series. Nice colorful graphics and fun gameplay.

Now you don't have to take out a loan to buy that expensive GameBoy cartridge. Shantae is similar to Wonder Boy. If you like those, you'll like these!

Honestly haven't heard of this game before, but have been hearing a lot about it on YouTube. This game has popped up on many game collector's list that I became very intrigued. Plus this game is hard to find!! Luckily, BB had a few games available and I quickly purchased it before it was sold out. This is definitely a collection item.

Just picked up my Physical copy of the first shantae game from my local BestBuy and that it’s great seeing in on the Nintendo switch as the game originally came out on the GBC in 2001. Shoutout to @LimitedRunGames @WayForward & @ModernVintageGamer for getting this game rom up to par with today’s standard in having GBA mode included.

This is a port of Shantae's first adventure. Originally a gameboy color title, this version is simply displayed in more, uh.. 'crisp' pixels. There aren't any bells or whistles to speak of, really. But considering its age, it is still pretty darn fun (and challenging). The biggest flaw is not having an ingame map.

A great version of the original game. Sometimes Limited Run Games does something right.

Awesome game from back in the day. Glad it was ported to a newer console. Its worth the price. If you cannot find the physical version purchase the digital copy

Great addition to my collection. Worth the Best Buy points to buy through Best Buy. Challenging but fun.

Love the Shantae series so this one was a no-brainer. Great gameplay and music!

It was a surprise to see this show up over the summer during Limited Run's E3 conference. Also seeing that Youtuber MVG was involved in the emulation side of things was great. The game looks and plays very well and features both the GBC and GBA color palette versions, which are nice additions. Ultimately this game is fun and worth playing this rare piece of gaming history.

This game is a hidden gem that seems to becoming more popular now. I missed out on the linited run release and was so thankful to see this on best buy. The game is amazing and jusr as i remember it. Yes you can get the digigal version cheaper but the physical version is nicer to me. Thanks so much best buy for bringing these limited run releases to your stores

Shantae has built up quite the legacy, and this is where it all started. It's a nice port of the original game and plays smooth on Nintendo Switch. Anyone who is a fan of action/platformers should thoroughly enjoy this. Keep in mind this is a port of a GameBoy Color game, so the graphics will match GameBoy Color. That doesn't take away from the experience, though.

Very fun game, on the cheap i got it and the kids love it

It's great to see the game that kicked off the series get a port to the Nintendo Switch. This is a great recreation of the original on the GameBoy Color. Being able to play this early 2000's platformer on a wider screen sure does make viewing this a lot more enjoyable.

Excellent old school gameplay for a gbc game. One of my all time favorites for sure. Finally completed it, got tired of playing it on the small screen when it came out so I never finished it until now. Great setup for the rest of the series.

If you are a fan of the Shantae series then this adaptation to the Nintendo Switch is great for you. Gameplay is really fun and looks great on Switch, especially in portable mode. Must add for Shantae fans.

Love when Best Buy releases these limited run games. This is a fun game and highly collectible. Enjoyed the game play and you should check out the other games from this line.
