Shark robotic vacuum with canister base

I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. I’ve owned Roombas in the past and this Shark robo vacuum does just as good of a job as my previous Roombas. I can’t compare it to the newest Roomba vacuums but I can say I’m pleased with this model of the Shark robo vacuum for the price. I did purchase it on sale, approximately 40% off, but I still feel that for the price, these vacuums are still way too expensive. The vacuum covers about 650sq ft. in about 35 minutes and consumed about 60% of the battery life for that amount sq footage. It was very easy to configure the app and setup the robo vacuum. I have a black lab that sheds a lot and it did a good job picking up his hair under normal mode except for the hair that is almost against the furniture. The app was easy to configure and navigate. The vacuum returns to base to charge while vacuuming and to empty its bin and then returns to cleaning when it empties its bin or recharges until the cleaning you assign it to do is complete. The vacuum is pretty quiet except when it empties its dust bin in the base canister. The only concern I have is how well the battery will perform as it ages. But, as of right now I’m am really enjoying the convenience of this robo vacuum. Still doesn’t work as well as a canister or upright vacuum, but it has reduced my hand vacuuming time to once per week while having a dog that sheds a lot.

A great help to keep the house clean. I am very impressed with how much dog hair it picks up. I empty the bin a couple of times a week and am always satisfied with how much it picks up. The features are not as nice as our iRobot, which I hope will be updated, but that unit started glitching out and wasn't performing anywhere close to what our Shark can do. The lidar system impressed me during the mapping process. I think it mapped our entire main floor in less than an hour and created a near-perfect floor plan. Our iRobot took over 6 hours as it bumped its way around all the obstacles from room to room and added rooms every time we ran it.

Upgraded from a Eufy that just bounced off of walls and sporadically cleaned. Being able to have something that does NOT scuff the walls, cleans everything, and can be programmed to clean daily and/or specific rooms is a game changer. It got lost three times in its first seven cleanings, while better leaning the map it created. Since then, zero issues! This was purchased Black Friday for 50% off, making the value very worth it!

This unit is amazing. We have a Roomba and decided we wanted a second unit. My research said that Shark would outperform AND save me $300 and that’s what happened. We have 3 Labradors and this saves us - it sucks up all the hair, empties in its own which is critical for us and navigates without smacking into everything. Our Roomba gets stuck all the time - meaning we constantly have to go rescue it not to mention it has to be emptied constantly. The Shark you can truly turn on and forget it. Best purchase.

I've had two different Roombas, most recently a 985. They are all plagued with the same problems: a terrible app that controls the vacuum; incessant wifi and cloud connection problems that cripple the vacuum; and frequent failures of expensive components such as drive wheels and dust bins/vacuum motors. Most recently the 985 went offline *again* making the unit useless. I spent six hours over two days resetting to factory, rebooting, deleting/reloading the app, nothing worked. It's been a problem for years and apparently Roomba is not capable of fixing the problem. I bought this Shark unit two days ago and could not be happier. Cannot speak to durability yet. So far here are my observations: *The Shark app is ten times better. It connected my vacuum and was ready to go in under a minute. Super easy to use, set up schedules, and program "no-go" zones. *The vacuum will make an initial trip to "scout" your house. It makes an initial map that is used for the first cleaning. Very interesting to watch as it methodically travels around, scans your furniture, etc., then returns home. *During the first vacuum the unit is remarkably accurate. I watched it the whole time and can say it maybe bumped into something two or three times - otherwise it traveled very precise paths around everything because of the first scan it made. During subsequent cleanings the robot corrected its map and never bumped into anything. *By far the quietest robot I've had. The Roomba 985 sounded like a jet plane, and would force you to another room in order to take a call. *It will vacuum until the bin is full, then it will return to base and empty the bin. Then it's off again to pick up right where it left off. Overall it's a massive improvement over the Roomba in every way. Well worth the money and we are very happy. Let's hope the durability is right up there with the performance.

    Great vacuum for hard floors

This vacuum does a phenomenal job on the hard floors and has yet to get stuck anywhere, even with "offroading" over cords and so forth. It's not quite as effective on the low pile rug, but it certainly helps keep the hair levels down. No issues with wifi connection or navigating. I do find that the dust tank thing has to be emptied about once a week with having two large dogs but the self-emptying function during a cleaning is excellent.

Great vacuum, cleans really good, only issue is the side brush gets stuck and pops off from time to time. Do make sure that stray items are picked up off your floor to prevent jamming the brush roller or side brush.

Works great! It was well worth the extra investment compared to a cheaper low end robovac. The mapping and row by row cleaning features are what really allow it to replace normal sweeping and vacuuming. The hepa filter and self empty bin as well as the recharge and resume are also really nice features. It's not a cheap appliance but a good investment for convenience and laziness. If you can make sure your home is set up well for it, it definitely makes regular frequent cleaning more achievable.

Having purchased our second Shark robot vacuum, the Shark - AI Ultra Robot Vacuum, we can confidently say that it's one of the best investments we've made. Living in Hawaii with pets means dealing with constant pet hair and dust, and this vacuum handles it all exceptionally well. One of the standout features is the home mapping, which makes navigation and cleaning patterns incredibly efficient. The user-friendly app adds another level of convenience, allowing us to schedule cleanings and monitor the vacuum's progress easily. As someone with allergies, I particularly appreciate the HEPA bagless self-emptying base. It not only ensures thorough cleaning but also minimizes exposure to allergens during maintenance. Overall, the Shark - AI Ultra Robot Vacuum has exceeded our expectations and continues to be a valuable addition to our home.

At first I was hesitant to buy this. I heard about them not really cleaning as good as they should, ect. It was half off and I have had Shark products before so I decided to give it a try. Wow I was blown away by it. The first time it maps your house then you label each area. From their you can have it clean one room, multiple rooms. It has 3 clean settings.. Eco, Normal and Max. It has a HEPA filter was well. The cleaning is spot on! It literally cleans the entire floor. I have carpet, shag and hardwood. No issues what so ever. You also can schedule cleans. I clean the heavy traffic areas daily. I have a pug so I am always getting hair on the floor. Not any more! The best feature is its app controlled! I highly recommend this Shark unit! Cant say enough about it!

The last vacuum robot we had was a Deebot and it did okay. This is a major upgrade from it. With having a dog that sheds (not badly thankfully) it annoying having to empty the old robot daily. Emptying it over a week is super convenient, you can tell it really cleans when it vacuumed and I like the options that comes with it. Worth every penny

I absolutely love this robot vacuum. I think it’s quiet. It can enter a room while I’m watching tv and not disturb me. It cleans the floors pretty well. I’ve been tiling my house and it climbs the tiles from one room to the next. It does it’s business and goes back to dump or charge if it needs to. It doesn’t bump into much. If it sucks up a cat toy it will shut down and let you know. No complaints so far.

For $500, you're getting a really comparable AI vacuum cleaner. Initial setup is really easy, all done through the Shark Clean app. create an account, fill out some info, name the device and you're up and running! you will have to wait a bit before first official vacuum because it needs to get to a certain battery level, then map out the home. The AI navigation seems hesitant at times. It has a little bit of a difficulty with spaces behind doors, and will sometimes lock itself in the same room and run until it's out of power. It also doesn't detect small items lying on the floor, so make sure you clean out items before starting to vacuum. The AI also tends to kinda look around in its surroundings to find it's way back to the base station, I'm not sure if a software update will fix it, but I'd like to see some refinement in that department. Otherwise, everything else about it is wonderful! The highest suction setting gets carpet super clean, and can get small crumbs and debris no problem. I did however find that it can damage tile while rolling, can get paint stuck on it, and the noise while self cleaning is really loud. I've had it for a few weeks now and it normally does it's thing and nothing goes wrong. I recommend getting it if you're not too bothered with how the machine navigates itself back to its base station!

Some friends of mine said “Get one! It will change your life!” Ha! And let me tell you, it did! I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to look at my floors and not see dog hair carpeting my wood floors ALL THE TIME even after I’ve vacuumed. My only con about this item keeping it from 5 stars is that it is a little noisy and we weren’t able to set a schedule to run at night while we are sleeping because of it. But the app is easy to use and I can map out where and when I want it to run which is one of the other reasons I bought this one, as well as, having the self emptying basin with the dock. We even have it connected to Alexa and can tell her to turn it off if it’s running and we want to watch tv or have people over and want to send it back to the dock.

First few days with this device and the 1st thing I had to do is adjust my expectations, once you understand that this is by no means a upright vac then you good, I have a huskie with hardwood floors and 1 area rug, this has done perfect for hardwood ok for rug, I still need to vac the rug but it does help, the hardwood though I love it, I don’t deal with dust and dog hair, you know that area the sun hits and you can see all that dust and hair, well those days I think are some what gone, since I just send the robot to do the job and it gets it done, I did love the fact that it went under my bed, and it did do a great job of removing all that dust under bed on hardwood, I think it gets a 9 imo. Next up is a mop but but I still researching, good vac overall for what it does, I would definitely recommend if those are your expectations. Maybe no pets on rugs will be just fine.

Love, love love! Easy to set up and schedule. Does an amazing job every day with dust, dirt and lots of dog hair! The 'deep clean' setting is a great option as well. Recommend after mapping and the first clean you do a 'deep clean' and see how much this little guy picks up! Easily glides under the sofa and beds. Highly recommend.
