Wow This ION robot is amazing! I have never used a robot of this caliber before. from the strong suction, the amazing (should be award-winning) hand-built vacuum, to a quick and speedy app. Everything Shark has built up over the years have combined into this package. Not only that there is much more this vacuum for pet owners like myself. The ION Robot: The design is great and if you know Shark this is what the design they have been using for a while now. The words are easy to read on the robot, Setup is easy when connected to wifi. The suction of the vac is strong on the robot, I took a small box of Cheerios and made a mini mountain. Started up the robot and it just took off doing its job. lifted up the cheerios with ease and the self-cleaning brush just worked as advertised. I have a bulldog that sheds a lot with white hairs everywhere, I love her but it gets a bit much over some areas of carpet, Here the ION s87 saves the day easily picking up the hair. the best part about the robot vacuum is that I can use scheduling cleaning when I know my baby bulldog will be out. The smart sensor 2.0 seems to be much better than Shark's old technology as it learns more of its surroundings around the house. staying clear of objects like chairs and tables and for the most part this work just fine. Dual edge brushes hit every corner perfectly. I did a manual control after a holiday Thanksgiving clean up for a quick test and Also, the s87 runs very smoothly and quietly while the battery last for a few cycles of cleaning without the robot returning to the base. You can set skills for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant works fine so you can just use your voice for it too. The App: The app work just fine and easy to read. you have many options here that adds to the features of the Robot including: -Starting and stopping cleaning. -Schedule cleaning and maintenance reminders. -View the cleaning robot history. -Receive notifications from the robot. -Clean your house while you are away. -and much more. I haven't had any issues with the app either it all just worked beautifully. The Built-in hand vacuum: This is just as elegant and powerful as the Robot itself, the nice hand vacuum feels nice to hold and use on surfaces. because it's ergonomic it feels good in the hand giving you a great grip. There is a one-touch button that lets you empty the hand vacuum. it just picks up every the robot can't get to but you can, as well as easily pick up of pet hair. it's a perfect combo of cleaning products that just works well. oh, and it comes with dustbin for the robot/hand vac to empty. Overall its a perfect match up of products put together for you to not clean as much. Shark delivered on many fronts with this one. The Shark ION s87 is a great device for anyone. but I would say this makes for a specular holiday gift. its fast, strong, powerful, and elegant.

We let it run on a schedule at our house every week. It saves us time since it can run while no one is home.

Works great. Cleans the floor on auto pilot. Goes back to base to recharge when needed. The handheld vac is a great add on.

This robot vacuum seems like a good deal because Shark is a good company but this product of there’s is absolutely trash. I regret ever buying it I replaced my Roomba 650 with this because it was getting loud and older I lost the one door piece to it and thought it was time for a change. I made a mistake. I will be buy another roomba so I can throw this thing away ASAP. And the wand is a great idea but doesn’t make up for the amount of East to clean things this robot misses.

Overall I did not care for this robot vacuum. It doesn't make straight lines it just bounced off the walls and made random patterns. The handheld vacuum was crappy - low suction

I'm not sure if I had bad luck, but this vacuum wouldnt even hikd charge, didn't get to test it. Handheld vacuum feature was neat, but the robot vacuum failed big time.

Started out great. App was great. Easy to use and robot cleaned well. Then something went wrong. When it ran, sounded like two cats bangin. worried it would torch house so brought it back.

The Shark Ion S87 Robot Vac is a good bot vac with a substantial list of features. First, of course, you set it up with the app. This actually proves useful. Some other bot vacs come with a remote control; the Shark does not. But the app is more functional that a remote, anyway. You can also use voice control with Google Assistant (our ecosystem) or Alexa. Both allow basic voice directions. As with most bot vacs, it includes an extra set of "whiskers" to replace the first set if they get damaged or overly worn. A significant differentiator is that the Shark also includes a hand vac, which does a pretty good job itself. Packaging is premium, as is presentation upon opening. The bot vac itself looks more attractive than most others, IMO. It does a terrific job cleaning the floor and rugs and has no problem making the transition from one to the other. My only negatives are minor: 1. The base is very tall, since it also has to house the hand vac. That means there are some areas you can't keep it. 2. There are no attachment mounts on the base for the different accessories for the hand vac. 3. Upon hitting the home/base button, the robot vac seemed to take a long time to find it's way back to the charging station. 4. At this price point, I'd hope it would do a better job room-mapping. However, those are all fairly minor gripes. On the whole, the Shark robot vac does an excellent job and brings some versatility to the table no one else does.

Hand held vacuum is good though I would love more power in it.

It doesn’t work very well ,i except more from this item
