This vacuum is all I hoped it would be. We had just moved into an existing house and we all started having allergy and asthma issues right away. The house was very dusty and found out there were also mold spores present after having air test done. I purchased the Shark hoping to help get some of these issues under control. It does an amazing job getting the deep down dust from the carpet. I have used it about a dozen times now and it is just now starting to get a little less from the carpet---due to its having removed the excess dust left behind over the years.

Great vacuum. Perfect combination of upright with revolving brush and onboard tools/cannister-type tools. I love the fact that you can turn the brush on or off. Love the no-bag aspect, the way it maneuvers, it's nice and light but it has POWER!!! Read lots of reviews at Amazon, but Best Buy seemed to have the lowest price.

Let me start out by letting you know I do not have much experience with many different makes and models of vacuums. I have owned a couple in my life, but I mostly judge based on other people's comments and reviews (which I read extensively). However, I do feel that I know what a good vacuum should be, and I feel confident in reporting my experience to others. This Shark Navigator Lift-Away PRO is probably the best vacuum you can get for your money, at least in this price range. You have several options of stores to purchase this model from. The difference between stores will be a slight variation in the model number, possibly a variation in the exact tools the vacuum comes with, and sometimes a difference in the length of the warranty. PROs: -Attractively designed, sleek white body. -Lightweight (compared with many other vacuums), and glides across any floor effortlessly. -Extremely powerful suction ability. -COMPLETE SEAL technology (British Allergy Foundation seal of approval). -Extra-large easy-empty dustbin (you can even give it a good rinse and make it look like new). -Lifetime (washable) filters (including the HEPA, all of which you typically have to replace on other vacuums), as well as no need to replace/service a brush-roll belt. CONs: -Super top-heavy---when using any accessories, with the handle detached, you will find yourself using both arms...one to maneuver the handle, and the other to either hold the vacuum in place or literally "hold" the vacuum (as if using it in Lift-Away mode). -The foam filter gets dirty very quick and must either be (gently and carefully) hit against an object outside to release the dust, or simply washed. I could not wait the recommended 3-months to wash out the foam filter and wound up washing it after only 2 or 3 weeks. -You will most likely find yourself cleaning out the brush-roll by hand, after looking closely at it and being disgusted. This was a problem with my last vacuum (the previous Navigator) and must be some flaw in the design of their brush-roll. They do advertise their unique brush-roll design, in that no hair builds up on it, but keep in mind they were talking about PET HAIR! -I was hoping to take advantage of the suction control dial feature and finally be able to vacuum the shag rug in my downstairs bathroom. I was very disappointed when the brush-roll immediately turned off because it could not accommodate the shag. I am at least grateful for the feature of the brush-roll turning itself off before there becomes an entanglement issue. Anyway, I feel that the PROs still outweigh the CONs with this vacuum. No longer are you limited to vacuums in the "several-hundred-dollar range" to get something with "no-loss-of-suction" technology and "lifetime filters." And if you are debating between the classic lavender Lift-Away and the Lift-Away PRO models, I say go for the PRO. It's worth the few extra bucks to have the extra accessories and a dustbin that is double in size---the only downside being that it weighs a couple extra pounds. Happy shopping (and vacuuming)!!!

I have never used a Dyson but for a 400 dollar difference in price I don't think I ever will. What I can say is this vacuum has the most power I have ever seen in a vacuum and out performs any Hoover I have ever owned. What really amazed me is that the hoovers I have owned seemed to only pick up dust but with this the canister is full of actual dirt not just dust. The power resembles the power you find in shop vacs. Amazing product!

I wanted a Dyson, but couldn't bring myself to spend that much $ on a vacuum. My husband got me this Shark for christmas. I love it! It picks everything up, when before I had to go over something over and over in order for my vacumm to suck it up. I have two kids ages 3 and 5 so there is always something on my carpet to vacuum up, and this vacuum picks everything up no problem. Suction is great too! I highly recommend this vacuum!!

We replaced a Dyson DC25 with this Vacuum, it's just that good. We had originally wanted a vacuum that was good at picking up animal hair and bought a DC25. We needed a second vacuum for another location, and ended up trying this out. After using it, we found it to do a much better job at picking up pet fur/dander/etc than the Dyson, so we sold the Dyson and bought another one. Cord is a little shorter than the Dyson, but jut long enough for most areas.

I've had many vacuums in my 68 years this is by far the most powerful one I've ever had. I wish the wand hose was a little longer but with the lift out feature it's alright. Highly recommend it!

Awesome vac. Super powerful. Rolls easily and like the tilt feature. Wish they would include another separate hose extension. When using the short hose extension, vac does tend to tip over if not careful. Otherwise this is an excellent vac that sucks up dirt like no tommorrow. Not sure about the durability yet, but liking the product so far.

BUY IT.. i have been using a cheaper brand for the pass 2 - 3 years and every time i vacuum i instantly got a running nose and sneeze.... After using this awesome Shark... No more Running Nose... thanks to the 100% SEAL TECHNOLOGY. My Carpet never look and feel so clean before.. 5 Years Warranty from Manufacture... Just buy it.. you wont regret.
