Feels More Like a Toy Than a Vacuum

I tried to “upgrade” from my trusty 10-year-old Shark vacuum, and honestly, I should’ve just sent my old one a thank-you card and kept it forever. This new model feels more like a children’s toy than an actual vacuum. There’s this little button you’re supposed to HOLD DOWN for “extra suction power.” First of all, why am I manually power-boosting a vacuum like it’s a video-game controller from 1998? Second, even with the magic button pressed, the suction is still weaker than my decade-old Shark that’s basically held together by nostalgia and duct tape. And I’m sorry… you expect me to keep my finger glued to that button for 30+ minutes? Absolutely not. I need that finger for literally anything else. Hard pass. My old vacuum is laughing at this thing.

Good but not great

So far so good for hard-to-reach places

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a lightweight "stick" vacuum to be able to reach high and for hard-to-reach places and this one fit the bill. Could the suction be more powerful? Yes. Do you have to buy a different model/maker at around $500? Yes. I didn't need it that bad so this model is a good middle model. I also don't use it as a main vac so needing it to stay charged for long periods of time are not my goal because I think these don't stay charged for long so using this as a main vac might be frustrating.

Wouldn't have bought it

I guess it's OK. The suction is lacking in my opinion. I have mostly hard floors so that's what I wanted it for. Picks up dust ok but anything larger gets left behind. I don't think I'd spend the money if I had known this even though it was on sale. And yes, I'm aware of the suction trigger
