Wonderful, great for cleaning spaces with pets, I love that it works for carpet and hardwood floors.

Deep cleans my cArpet and hardwood floors. Easy to maneuver and empty . Also charged really quickly and this vacuum reaches under furniture with ease. I highly recommend this vacuum. I did read the instructions carefully but did not have any issues with assembly.

A good vacuum with a budget price, but hard to clean.
It has self-propelled wheels. Once you get used to it, it is very good. My only complaint is that the canister containing the dirt is almost impossible to clean well.

The power switch has three positions, Off, Bare Floor for solid and area rugs, and Carpet. The rug setting spins the powerhead brush faster than the hard floor setting. The vacuum power seems the same between the two settings. There is a ‘Boost’ pull switch to get extra suction power when needed.
The vacuum works really well on hard floors, short nap rugs, and surprisingly well on even deep pile rugs. Typical dust/dirt seems to get picked up just fine. But getting heavy items like cracker bits sucked up takes the Boost mode and on deeper carpets it sometimes took an extra pass or two.
Emptying the dust cup is a simple and no mess task. Rinsing the pre filter and even the main filter is simple to do when needed.
It works great as a hand vac on furniture or in the car and comes with a crevice and dusting tool. The light weight makes cleaning steps incredibly easy. Ever do steps with a plugged in canister or upright vac? It’s worth getting one just for stairs!
Using the power head to clean floors will cut down on the 40 minute battery run time some. But I still had no problem cleaning 4 rooms, about 800 sq,ft, with some charge left. Doing a whole house may need to be broken out into two or more sessions to allow charging in between.
It would be great if I could buy an extra battery, or a higher capacity battery and swap batteries easily to keep going as I do with my other cordless tools such as a drill driver, saw, and other such tools.
The LED lights are a welcome feature when cleaning under furniture, but like other vacs, they could be brighter. Better than none though.
Storing the vac upright on the fixed wand, like a typical upright vac requires leaning it against a wall. My son bumped it once and it slid out and went down. There is no wall mount bracket to secure it. I would recommend considering a model with the MultiFLEX Wand which will allow upright storage with the vac motor bent over. This seems like it would distribute the weight lower and closer to the center so it will stay upright safely.
A cord on a vac is limiting. Having to move a piece of furniture, bending over to unplug something to plug the vacuum in, and put it back when done. And this happens repeatedly in each room. Then to have the cord get pulled out as it too often seems to be just a bit too short, get hung up, or knock something over. Frustrating, it's no wonder I put off vacuuming so much. Cordless fixes all of this.
Vacuuming is now simple, immediate, and continuous. The vacuum is always ready to go as is, no more plug hunting and moving. I can clean a room, or four, quickly without stopping to move the power cord in each room. Liberating.
I find I now spot clean high traffic areas and crumbs whenever I see a need now, not just one every week or so. With less dirt and grit staying on the floors getting spread out and ground in with foot traffic, the floors and rugs should last longer.
The Shark IX141 does the job well, is easy to use, convenient, needs no bags, and is easy to maintain. I have not felt a need or desire to use my corded vac and may put it out at the next yard sale.
While it may not be as powerful as a plug in vac, it is not a chore to use either. It’s the vac you don’t dread using, it’s the vac you will actually use, and use more often. Overall my floors are cleaner and high traffic areas are cleaned every day or two. Its priced well and Shark has many attachments available to suit your needs as well. As with other tools, cordless is a game changer. I like this vac, its design and how it works. I recommend checking it out, especially if you have stairs.
Thank you for your review of the Shark Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum. We're glad to hear the vacuum performs its job well, but we understand your concern about the short battery life.
Battery performance is an important part of the cordless experience, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback. We’d be happy to assist with any tips to help extend runtime or explore if a different model may better suit your cleaning needs. Please feel free to contact us at 1-855-427-5127.

Quant wireless vacuum, however, needs two areas of improvement in my opinion.
1. You need to pull this gun like trigger to get the suction you really need, so this means the basic suction is not sufficient.
2. It needs a base to store the additional tools and keep the power supply attached. You will find yourself having to pull the off and on the power supply in every use but a mild inconvenience.
