I originally had another Shark vacuum, but it wasn’t cordless. I decided to upgrade because my dog chases the cord and it’s a bit of an inconvenience. I was skeptical about this purchase, as I assumed that cordless meant less suction but I was totally wrong. This vacuum is a space savor and has strong suction. This is an amazing vacuum and the suction is unbeatable!

Great for hard and low shag carpet. Have used vacuums in the past that work better on our med and hi shag carpets. The canister suck out feature is nice.

We got our Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum cleaner just a few weeks ago, and we couldn’t be happier with it! It has power, and it automatically adjusts for different surfaces. An additional feature that other vacuums don’t have is that as you are vacuuming, a purple light comes on to let you know that the floor surface is still dirty, and it changes to clear/white when it is clean. And unlike another rechargeable vacuum we had recently, the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum recharges hassle-free. It is so convenient to use! I love all of its features, and I highly recommend it!

So far it’s been a great vacuum for me, it’s light and easy to charge. I love the auto emptying system as well I haven’t tried with heavy carpeting just rugs and hardwood floors

This is the first power tool for housecleaning. Honestly! No cord, powerful suction, self adjustment for surface- and it empties itself. Almost enjoy vacuuming now!

Great Vacuum cleaner. We actually replaced our Dyson because this one has more power. Plus the automatic empty system... genius!

It works great but a little loud. Sometimes the transition from one surface to another is a little too strong and can pull throw rugs into the beater. The wheels also make noise if you move it to fast. Overall it out performs our old shark but the weight and noise levels are somewhat disappointing.

This shark works better than all the other Dyson models. This is second Shark since first had problem with replacement filter.

Vacuum did not let down, great getting under cabinets and sofa on hard to reach area with the boost when dirt / baby crumbs on the ground. No complaints at all, best vacuum purchase hands down.

Excellent power and suction that picks up the tiniest of particles and pet hair. I vacuumed with my old stick vacuum and then used the Shark. It picked up a full container after the other top contender!!

This vacuum is the best one I have ever had. Even though it is smaller than my other ones, it is more powerful. When my hair was longer, I shed a lot. My other vacuum never picked up as much as this one does. Even my husband was impressed. Easy to use and portable. No cords to get tangled. I love it.

Lightweight, great suction. The cleaning canister stand (?) is awesome so not having to constantly empty!

I got the Shark - Power Detect to replace my constantly broken and failing Dyson stick vaccum. I wanted it for the auto-empty system and it's versatility. I have had it a month and have been impressed with it so far. It's easy to set up and has great features for about 200 dollars less than a dyson. My review of it, so far so good.

I have owned a Shark cordless stick vacuum for years now & I am & have been happy with my purchases. I had no idea what to expect with the self emptying system but it has been much better on my allergies. The things I have noticed comparing to other Shark vacuums I that it has a longer battery life, it is easier to empty not to mention easier on my allergies, lighter weight than previous Shark vacuums I have had, & I would rather have these attachments than the one's I had with two previous Shark vacuums I have owned.

Only had it 1 month but we like it a lot. Have no issues, can’t give it a 5 right now. Maybe in 6 months to a year I could.

Bought this because our old vacuum batteries died. The company no longer sold a replaceable battery pack. I was considering another inexpensive vacuum but saw all the holiday sales and compared many of the popular ones. I saw the sale on this shark vacuum and decided to purchase it. I have two other shark corded vacuums which are still working well but wanted this one for its flexibility, features, auto empty, and lightness. Very happy overall!
