Nothing cleans better and sanitizes like the steam mop. All you need is water and the Shark does the rest!

Great for the price. Cleans well.The only thing I do not like is that the ead does not swivel.

Great item for cleaning wood and linoleum floors. Not as good on ceramic tiles.

Easy to use. No brainer and comes witha convenient receptacle to pour water. Steams quickly. Do not have to wait long to stat using.

It wasn't what I expected, not having seen the product I person left me a bit blind sided. I wish there were a button on the mop to release the steam I'd like to evenly clean my floor.

Perfect for keeping our kitchen and baths fresh. Doesn't take long to steam.

This steam mop is awesome. I use it on my congoleum and bamboo flooring. Very easy to use.

The shark is very efficient. Kills germs without using harmful chemicals. Your floors will feel completely different after using this.

I was disappointed with the power of the steamer...

I bought this about 5 months ago, so excited that I was nearly late picking my kids up from school I wanted to mop so badly! I threw it together (easy as cake), filled up the tank, and started to mop. At first I was really dissapointed-it made my floors streaky, left the footprints from the dog (easy to clean with a paper towel) and didn't seem to do much of anything. I was getting ready to take it back to the store when I realized that the reason it probably wasn't working right was because the steam couldn't get through the pad if I didn't pre-wet it. After a couple of trial & errors (too much water, too little etc) I found the perfect ratio to get the mop working great. THIS WILL MAKE IT WORK-GUARANTEED!! I took a spray bottle and put it on the mistier side, spray the part of the pad that will be cleaning the floor to a damp yet not completely wet state, and VOILA~it works great now! I absolutelly HATED mopping the floors with a passion, and now it's one of the easiest housework chores I have. I've even turned into a personal infommercial girl & have literally taken it to friends houses to show them how much I love it. Once in a while I put 1/4 vinegar to 3/4 water in the container to keep the buildup out of the machine, and also to give the floors that extra little kick. It's safe around my bird too, which I love!! I can't believe how amazing something like this could be. Not to be a dork or anything, but it's sort of changed my life..haha. When it comes to cleaning my floors anyway.

I've read a number of reviews on this and bought it with mixed feelings. The good part is that it will clean your floor though it doesn't do it as easily as on the commercials we've all seen. The mop part does come clean easily afterward too. The handle is exactly as I've read - flimsy - it's the same handle (but less sturdy) as on a swiffer mop except it's in 3 pieces and I think this alters the sturdiness of it. I don't know why they didn't make the mop handle in only 2 pieces. It's ok back and forth but side to side you have to be careful with it. I would not recommend your giving this to a strong man to use (or even a strong woman...lol). It did clean the solid tile floor in my bathroom well - it did not do it like in the commercial in one swipe though. For my textured tile floor in the kitchen, it does not get the dirt out of the grooves well. It DID get up a grease mess that was on the floor but I did have to set it to steam a while over it. It doesn't do well with hair either, if there is any on the floor it will ball it up and you'll have to pick it up. (we have 5 large dogs so there's hair all over my house and yes, I did sweep first) It doesn't push as well on my unsealed hardwoods (not sure it's "recommended" for them). I also used a spray bottle to pre wet the mop head before I used it too - I read that on one of the review and it does help. Overall, I'm ok with the purchase and will continue to use it. I would rather not use cleaner on my floor if I don't have to but I do understand that I will have to get my regular mop out once in a while to REALLY clean the floor. I do intend to try a package of the extra mop heads as I've read in other posts that their composition is different than the ones that come with the mop and they glide better. We'll see. Would recommend to a friend but with conditions.

Microfiber pads are hard to push on the floor. Had excellent results using 2 foot square terricloth towel folded in half and dampened. Short strokes will keep the steam pouring out. I liked the mop and it really cleans the vinyl floor. Was almost done with my floors on Wed before Thanksgiving 2009 and the mop died. Green light on front went out. Tried several outlets over several days and it is dead. Originally bought this Sep 2008 so it was 2 months outside of warranty. Over the 14 months it was probably used a dozen times. Very disapointing in that aspect. Time for more research to find a new steam mop.

I have a one bedroom apartment with all hardwood floors, so it's perfect to store and just use it around the place without dealing with a bulky machine. Not sure how well it does in a bigger area, but for a low profile vacuum, has a result and helps me clean my place quite easily.

I love it. I purchased additional cleaning pads so I can use one pad per room. I love that there is no waiting for floors to dry. I also like that it uses no chemicals because I have a crawling baby. It is very light and even though it does not hold much water, its sort of a pro because it does not end up being too heavy for my lower back. Its great for everyday use.
