Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the corner cleaning feature's effectiveness on various floor types, including carpets, linoleum, and wood. However, some users expressed concerns regarding the product's suction power on hard surfaces and the sturdiness of the handle. The ease of emptying the dirt container was also a positive point for some. A few customers reported issues with the handle's durability.

    The Delicate VX3

I had been coveting this machine for some time and finally broke down and bought it. I loved it for a solid month. However, within 2 weeks I heard a little snapping sound on the folding hinge. 2 weeks later as I was vacuuming, it snapped in half. I have tried super gluing it, but I doubt it will do the job, plus the glue will most certainly inhibit the folding mechanism which I so enjoyed. In short - if they can upgrade this product so that the handle can be strengthened so that it won't break, I would recommend this product for its handiness. It does not have the powerful tornado strength it is tauted to have, but it was pretty cool for my little 1 bedroom half hardwood half carpeted house. And because I have a back injury, I really liked the lightweight design and the fact that it folded to get under the bed and couch. Also I liked that the dumping mechanism made it so I didn't have to use a bag or go outside and deal with a messy dirt tray. But alas, that handle has made this an impossible dream. When will they make a product that holds up to the manufacturer's promises? Not this time. Bummer.

Relegated to the back of the closet....

I bought this product to use as a lightweight alternative to my heavy vacuum cleaner. I thought it would be great to use on my hand-scraped floors and rugs to pick up small bits of dust and lint and on our carpeted areas in between scheduled housecleaning days. Unfortunately this sweeper does not work in the slightest. It does not have enough suction to pick up anything on hard surfaces and it gets caught on our frieze carpet. The folding handle is not strong and feels odd when using. After numerous attempts to use The Shark Cordless Sweeper, I have relegated it to the back of the closet until I have my next garage sale. How very disappointing....

Feels Flimsy but Does the Trick

Sweeper arrived quickly and assembled pretty easily. I was eager to try it out but made sure to read the directions as the other reviews had indicated to make sure it had a full charge before using it. My first use of it was on carpet and it picked up very well. One thing I noticed was that the handle felt extremely flimsy, like it would snap if I turned it wrong. Doubled checked it to make sure it was assembled correctly (it was) and reminded myself it was not a vacuum. Having said this, the sweeper did great on the area rugs and small amount of carpet in our house. Not great on steps, but then again it is not really designed for that. The sweeper was most impressive on linoleum and wood floors in our house. Picked up really easily without spraying everything right back on my feet as I have experienced with vacuums on their "floor" setting. Even tried the kitty litter test and it passed with flying colors! At one point my teenager was using it for her chores and it stopped working---thought it was the battery but we had just charged it. Discovered that it turns off if it needs to be emptied, which is kind of handy. Dumping it was pretty easy once you figure out what to push and then it started right back up. Overall I am pleased with the sweeper, I still just need to get past the flimsy handle that I still notice whenever I use it. BUT it hasn't broken and does bend to go under things. However I think I would trade that feature for an adjustable handle length and a more sturdy feeling when in use.

    Greatest Product ever!

I bought this product because I have kids. My girls make a mess with chips all the time and I don't want so much noise arond my preemie son. This does the job. It's not vaccum cleaner so yu can't expect it to replace a vaccum you can count on it for small jobs and it works on the kitchen floor too. I love that it sucks everything up when I sweep the kitchen some dirt and trash still stays on the floor due to the dust pan not picking everything up but the shark does, It also doesn't let all this dusty air out which I love also. I can recharge it at night when I'm not using it and put it to work when I need to. My girls love it and they also use it to clean up there own messes, the onlt complain I do have is that it feels flimsy and like it's going to break but thats why you get the protection plan, that way if it breaks you can get a new one, it's definetly worth the money I would have actually paid more for it but I'm glad I didn't have to!

    Over hyped infomercial product

This is one of these over hyped infomercial products on TV lately. I bought it immediately after I saw the infomercial, thinking that it would be perfect for light duty floor cleaning around the house, either carpet or hard floor. First the good news: the folding handle, light weight, cordless, easy to dump collected trash, all these are true. It is really easy to take it around the house to collect trash on the floor (but not the dust). Now the bad news: since it is not a vacuum, it's only a sweeper, it does not really pick up dust on hardwood floor. I can understand that. But this is exactly what caused one of the problems: it leaves patches and streaks of dust all over my medium colored hardwood floor. Apparently, it's only good to pick up the larger pieces of trash spills. After that, you would still need to mop or vacuum the dust left out by the Shark. But if this is the case, why don't I just mop/vacuum in the first place to clean the floor in just one step, instead of 2 steps? And since it's not a vacuum, somehow the brush action creates static inside its plastic housing which caused dust to be attracted all over the inside of the transparent plastic housing. After the 1st use, my wife thought the Shark had gotten so dirty and tried to clean it but only to find that the dust were all inside the Shark housing and are hard to reach. So the Shark looked dirty since day one and stayed that way. The Shark doesn't work well on carpet either. Since it's only a sweeper it doesn't deep clean thick carpets. It doesn't clean short weave thin carpets well either, especially with those directionally weaved, the Shark simply refused to glide over the carpet in certain direction. And due to it's light weight, it just "flies" through the uneven surface of those pattern weaved carpet without picking up the small pieces of trash trapped. Overall, I found the Shark is of very limited use to us, if any.

    Love the Sharks!

I had the lower version of this until my son threw it down the stairs, but it was my lifeline!! I like the corner sweeper feature this one has. I love that I don't have to use my huge vaccuum to suck up simple chip and cracker crumbs. I just grab and go. It isn't supposed to replace a vaccuum, but does an excellent job as a temporary crumb/dust pickerupper. I'll sweep my entire hardwood floor and I always use it after and still get a tray full of dust. Its nice to have and couldn't live without it now.

    Great Sweeper

I have two golden retrievers in my house and this sweeper does an excellent job picking up dog hair on my bare floors and rugs! It does a pretty good job picking up small particles, but because it does not have suction, some get left behind. I am fine with that sacrifice because this thing is so lightweight and a lot easier to move up and down the stairs than a regular vacuum. This also has a button that bends the handle to get underneath my coffee table and couches.

    Hate It !!

I bought this vacuum cuz I loved the other cordless Shark Vac I bought years ago. This one is nothing like the old one. I agree with all the others who gave it a low score. It does not pick up anything, and what it does pick up when you pull the vacuum backwards it leaves most of it behind. It just throws pets hair everywhere. I hate this vacuum, it's a waste of time even trying to use it.
