I researched what the problem might have been- I kept opening the door prior to hitting "Stop". This may cause the door latch to malfunction (per a few Google searches). Lesson learned. -Hoping this one lasts longer, but it's still a great deal. The programmed settings aren't to my liking, so I just don't use them...

Only my glass dinner plates and bowls work. Not sure why. My other dinnerware has worked in every other microwave but in this one it overheats. Maybe I got a defective one? The other reviews seemed pleased. I gave it average since it's not that bad but I'm also not exactly happy with it. It works and was in stock when I needed it. I like the weight of it. I can carry it without help but it is substantial enough that the door opening does not move it on the counter like some models. For $10 more I should have gone a little more powerful but it's okay.

After cooking I always leave the door open to let the inside cool down and dry. Since the light goes off when the door is open, this saves the bulb. Inside is easy to clean and control panel is easy to read. Great microwave and the price is good.
