That low of wattage + age was lots of uneven defrosting, heating, etc. This unit is great, snagged it on sale for $89.99, can't really beat that for a 1000 watt oven. Took a few times getting used to higher wattage times vs 700 watt but that's the good kind of problem to have! All your basic defrost functions are easy to use, very good timeframes, sleek black finish looks nice and clean. No complaints, if it goes on sale again come July 4th, you can't find a better deal.

The door opens with a push of a button, which I think is efficient because with our old one that had a handle, the whole microwave would move when opening the door.
