The oven seems overly hot when I use it. Is this normal for this product. I am a little nervous using it. I have never had a microwave that is this hot.

Was very ill when it arrived, didn't notice huge dent in body of microwave, it works but makes a terrific racket.

We purchased the clearance, floor-model. No problem at all. Size is good. Simple to use. We use our microwave primarily for reheating food and boiling water. This is just what we wanted. Not a lot of bells and whistles but plenty of programmed options. Great value!

i bought this mainly because of the $30 off sale price which beats the price of lesser-quality brand names from walmart/target/sears. so far, it has been the perfect microwave for our kitchen due to its size (not too big), color (white complements the color of our cabinets) and power (1000 watts). -cooks evenly -operates quietly as compared to our previous microwave oven)

I got the microwave home, plugged it in and it worked the first time (heating up water). The next day I tried to heat up something and the control panel didn't work. The 2 button registered as a 4 aqnd the 7 button registered as a 9 and the microwave refused to cook.

1.no light when door opened. 2. while cooking the plate will rotate not so good.

Smaller unit than what we were replacing so the power was not as high as what we were use to and heating items took longer. After a month the unit stopped working (would not heat) and we had to replace it.

We purchased this microwave. Rcv'd it; plugged it in; turned it on; flash of light inside and it overheated and turned off. Cooled down and tried it again; did it again. Returned this one for another one, same exact problem. Returned second one and did not purchase again.

I'm very disappointed in my purchase. The product is not user friendly & if it wasn't such a project to return it, I would. In fact, I might yet!

I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up in hopes that you'll have a different experience than I did. The Sharp microwave R-309YW that is shown on this website is an older model, so it might not be what you actually receive. I did a search online before deciding which microwave to buy. I've always owned sharp microwaves, and after reading the reviews I decided to buy this one. I needed it quickly so I didn't order it online and went directly to Best Buy instead. They have a lot of microwaves on display, including the one you see in the picture online. I was able to quickly point it out to the salesperson and make the purchase. All was good until I took it out of the box and set it up. It's not the same as the one on display at the store, or the one shown here online. Sharp has changed the features, but kept the model number the same! If you want to see what the newer version is like I'd suggest going to the Sharp website. On the newer version you can no longer just press the number keys and then start. They are now designated as express keys. If you want to use them as number keys you have to press the power button first. Unfortunately the power button is small and not easy to notice right away. The number buttons are also smaller. I'm not sure what else has changed between these two versions of this microwave. I actually wanted the convenience of just being able to press the number buttons, so I was quite disappointed! If I want 15 seconds, I want to press 1, 5, and start.Not find the small power button first. Maybe this wouldn't matter to you. This newer model is very attractive in white. I like the looks a lot! Other things I've noticed so far: The light is only on while cooking, not with the door open; There are three beeps when the cooking is done. These happen all at once. There's no way to stop that from happening, even if you open the door. Early in the morning I'm trying to be quiet, so I don't really like that feature; The feet on the microwave are not rubber, so it does slide around a little. This might be common these days, since the microwaves are not as heavy as they used to be. They also marked up my countertop when I first pushed it into place, but easily cleaned up with a sponge. I hope this review helped. I would certainly recommend this microwave to a friend IF they hadn't changed the numbers layout. But if that's not important to you then you might like this microwave. I'd be happy to respond to any additional questions you might have.

I wouldn't buy this product again. Out of the box it was wobbling and after 2 days there was button damage. We had our last microwave for 20 years... This one won't last 20 months. It's also very noisy.

I buy the microwave and was only the one and was the box damage on one side and I tell the sells person about it and he say we can do nothing but when I come home and open it we find it bend from the box where is damage

Don't bother with this product.! Worked once and then never aagin. Best Buy was good w=enough to refund my money.

Hopefully the second microwave will work out. Best Buy exchanged the product with no problem.

Microwave will not turn on (start). Bought on 6/17/16 today is 8/6/16 so less than 2 months. Going to return to store, will see how this goes.

In the box, the product was twisted and could not bw made to stand level. I was afraid to turn it on.

USED TWICE AND DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH, THE DESIGN OR MATERIALS ARE NOT OF GOOD QUALITY

Really poor design,,glass plate cannot remain in center and slides all around

After a month a couple buttons didn't work, now the clock doesn't work and neither do two more buttons!
