The only odd part is the POWER button must be pushed before setting the cook time you want. This is not a make or brake issue, just different than most. Presets are easy to access. Great price for the functionality.

The cord is too short. Better placed on counter next to outlet or you will need extension cord. Light only comes on during cook time which isn't a huge deal. The door doesn't close right. If you close softly it bounces back like its made of rubber so I have to practically slam it shut each time which I find most annoying. Not sure if this is just mine or if they are all like that. It isn't very sturdy so it tends to move around if you push on the door even lightly. Overall it is good for the price. Got mine on sale $30 cheaper than another store. It is very basic but so far does the job. Time will tell if it lasts.

Purchased this microwave from the Best Buy website. It has been a great microwave – works as you'd expect and the 1.1 cu. ft. model is spacious enough but still works in an apartment kitchen.

This microwave works fine and is easy to use. I saw a review that mentioned no timed cook button. On this unit you enter the time and then hit enter - easy. My last mw lasted 20 years and I don't think any products are made that well anymore. This unit is a deal and works well.

This microwave replaces my other microwave that suddenly bit the dust. I looked up reviews online and decided this met my space requirements. It's easy to use, has a turntable to evenly cook the food. It's also quieter than my old one. It has basic features including a 30 sec reheat, defrost, and general cooking. It does what I need it to do. It was also on sale which was nice.

Works great for what we need. Easy to keep clean. Cooking is even.

This is my third Sharp Carousel Microwave Oven 1. A full-sized, purchased in 1982 for about $450. I still have it and it still works, although with only around 500 watts of power, it is slow for reheats and not good for modern frozen dinners. But what enduring quality! 2. A mid-sized, purchased in 1994 for about $200. Finally expired after 19 years. It served us very well. 3.This one. $109. Hope it lasts even half as long as #2. If so, I'll be satisfied. Time will tell. Despite what others said, it DOES have a kitchen timer, and it DOES have a clock. I agree that it would be nice if the interior illuminated when the door is opened. Both of the older Sharp's did. But I think that's very minor. The size is perfect for the types of things for which my family uses a microwave (reheating, defrosting, cooking frozen dinners, etc). All in all, a good value.

Don't bother purchasing this microwave because it is horrible. I have had it 4 months and it broke already. The start button doesn't work which means the microwave doesn't turn on. When I first purchased it, it made a high pitched screaming noise while it was on. That was concerning and annoying. After a couple months, that went away. It is cheaply made and takes forever to heat anything. Do your research and buy something better quality and definitely not from Sharp. Their customer service department is horrible. I have contacted them 10 times in the last 3 weeks and every time I call they either disconnect me or redirect me and then hang up or tell me its the wrong time of the day. All sorts of stories. I have my reciept and they keep giving me the run around because there is a 1 year manufacturer warranty and clearly they don't want to replace it. So don't purchase this if you want to save yourself a headache. And if you do, get a warranty through Best Buy because it won't last you long.

This is a 1000 watt microwave. It thoroughly cooks food in the recommended time listed for an 1100 watt microwave. The door is secure and passes the "paper" test: slip a piece of paper in between the door and frame, then close the door. If you can't pull the paper out, the door is secure --- or as secure as microwave doors get. The usual features and extras are there that one can expect from a microwave in the $100-200 range. The microwave is relatively quiet, as microwaves go. I recommend this to anybody who doesn't need a huge microwave.

It had to be a certain size, a certain price, all white, AND it had to have a kitchen timer. The kitchen timer was a no-show for many of the models that I looked at that met my other qualifications. There's even another Sharp microwave with a similar model number that does NOT have a timer. I've had it a few weeks now and am very pleased.

This microwave meets all our needs perfectly: fits in space available, works well for the foods we prepare, looks good -- not too fancy, nice, clean lines -- does all we need it to do.

Good product for the money. The cord is short so if you have a plug that is not nearby this is not for you. You would either have to split the cord and extend it or use and extension cord. Neither would be advisable. Luckily I had a plug in the space where the microwave went, otherwise I would have had to return it to the store and look for one with a longer cord.

Microwave is great for a small family. Easy to use.

I wanted a not-too-large microwave that was at least 1 cu. ft. and had at least 1000 watts, preferably black, and for under $100. Got it all in this oven! The only quirks are that the "0" on the keypad isn't where you'd expect it and the beep signalling the end of the cooking time continues to beep the standard 3 times even if I've opened the door after the first beep. I was a bit disappointed that the store didn't have this model on display; I prefer to look over an actual item rather than read the details on the box.

This is a perfect little microwave oven that does everything you need it to do. It took a little while to understand how to use it but now enjoy. The price was also a deciding factor.

The old microwave finally warmed it's last dinner so we went to BB to purchase a new one. Looked at all of them and came to the conclusion, we didn't need the big fancy ones which were 2x+ the cost. This was a nice value. Works well although a bit loud, all of the features work well. Only one minor gripe about the layout of the number keys, why is the 0 key in such an odd place. Keep trying to hit the buttons like on the old one (and most of them you see). Very minor and for the price, this is a good value.

I purchased this microwave after a small 700 watt that I had for years went kaput. This medium sized microwave unpacked and assembled easily. It fits well on my counter top and did everything I wanted it to right up until yesterday. I don't use a microwave very often, but I did expect an appliance to work for more than a year.

My bigger Sharp only lasted 14 years! What a piece of junk! Just kidding, of course. That beast had been used untold thousands of times, so when it finally pooped out, I went for another Sharp. For $90 on sale, you can't beat this guy. Great packaging, easy to set up, bla bla bla. Only quibbles are (as someone else said) that I wish the light went on when you opened the door. And the tray is a tad harder to get set correctly than in my older model. But the rotating tray is the huge selling factor here. Can't live without it. Also, I like the glossy black look, although I know it will get fingerprint-y. In all, I can't imagine a better product at this price.

For a guy who uses a microwave to cook everything, this thing works great! The power level setting works to perfection on re-heated meals, for shallow and deep dishes. Its a pretty good size and fits all of my plates as well. The last thing that i do like about this is the plate at the bottom, its easy to clean even if things get baked onto the plate and fits in my dishwasher too. Great product if you do use it quite often!
