Terrible Product

Our microwave started to go out just after the warranty expired. About 10 months later it was completely useless as the magnetron appears to have caught fire inside the unit - as you can see from the side by side picture of the old and new parts.
Sharp was contacted by us multiple times and they really didn’t seem to care or want to help. DO NOT BUY THIS PROBLEM, I MEAN PRODUCT.

I love it! We remodeled the kitchen and needed to change from an overhead microwave to an under counter model. The Sharp is perfect. It looks great and works great. The only thing negative was the price. I don't understand why it was so expensive.

Ok overall but the display mounting hardware is pathetic. And you may want to opt for the higher end jenn air models if fit and finish quality are worth the extra $500-600. As a microwave it works the same as 99% of all of them do. Sharp has this market cornered and you have no other options

It was damaged

I received the microwave, opened the box and looked it over, and it looked fine, but when I went to install it about a month later, it was damaged, and there was not any paperwork included with the microwave. It appears that someone returned it damaged, and Best Buy sold it again as new. Best Buy said I was outside of the 15 day damage window policy, so I am stuck with a $1000 paper weight.

i got this because our island needed to have a built in. It's been great only improvement is the cooking space for the 30 seems like the same size as the smaller version kind of a let down for the price diff

Worked for only two years

It was disappointing that this $1000 microwave only worked for two years. While it was working, it was great. The look and functionality is impressive. I only wish the reliability was as good. Unfortunately my whole cabinet is built around this unit and I do not have a lot of option.

unit stopped heating after 1 month, all functions seem to work but will not heat! Of course, no customer assistance available on Thanksgiving morning. I told my wife I would give this unit 8 months, guess I underestimated. I suppose with a $1,000 microwave, you shouldn't expect much!
