Downside is that the way this gadget is wired to the cable box, it can be controlled by neither the HDTV nor the cable remotes - makes getting a universal remote highly desirable to avoid having to juggle 3+ remotes. I believe that all sound bars are wired to the cable box this way.

Really makes a difference compared to the tv speakers.

I will be returning to Best Buy for a replacment. Gave it a Two since it may be an issue with me hooking it up since i couldnt read the instructions.

Loud. Easy to set up if you have basic equipment.

I placed it in a family room. Super loud when subwoofer is playing. My family use it for music, gaming and tv.

My Husband and I were always pulling at the remote before. After setting this up, it has actually made a huge difference in our listening experience. I would definitely recommend it.

Has many settings for various sound modes that can be adjusted well enough. The main speakers (in the actual bar) sound good. The best feature that it has is the "night' button which turns off the subwoofer almost completely so as not to bother others in the house. The subwoofer is not great. When turned up the subwoofer shows that it is not ported correctly and cannot handle the air the speaker moves around in the box resulting in an odd puffing air sound/vibration. For the discount/clearance price I got this is an ok system but if you have a few hundred extra laying around I would recommend going with something better for the long term.
