The sound bar kept shutting off at random intervals during shows and movies. I would not recommend it.

never felt the need for a soundbar until I moved up to a 65" curved samsung 4k. sound just did not do the picture justice. Checked out many sound bars $300-$600 in price. IMO any less $$$ is a waste of time. The best I heard was the samsung tube soundbar, but at $600 a little yo pricey....Found this Sharp bar and was very impressed by it. Store set-up only allowed a 30 sec sample but that was good enough. Got it home and it did not disappoint...easy set up.

    Perfect for large TV's

I had the HT-SB60 for about 6 months and unfortunately it went into protection mode and I had to return it to Best Buy, only to find out it was discontinued. This is the model that replaced it. Basically the same model with a few changes...i.e. added bluetooth and changed speaker color from silver to black. So far, after a few days, it sounds as good, if not better than the SB-60. It was easy to setup and looks good mounted on the wall under the tv. The biggest selling points for me were the sound and the size. There are not many sound bars on the market that have multiple HDMI inputs and look good beneath a 65" TV. If your thinking about it, go to best buy and listen to it first, I think you will be pleased.

Don't do it. Spend a little more and get a real system with separate speakers.

I purchased and returned several soundbars (Orbitsound M12 and Samsung HT550) before this bad boy went on sale. I had been eyeing this for a while but wasn't willing to pay the full price. Needless to say, it went on sale and I pulled the trigger. What a great decision that proved to be. I was replacing a very old Sony 5.1 system. Bottom line: rich sound, sparkling highs, deep lows, easy setup, excellent complement to my 60" tv. Not sure I have heard better sound in this price range.

I purchased this sound bar based upon the many reviews and it didn't disappoint. I wanted a very deep and rich sound as well as impress my guests for the ultimate game. Wow what an impression so much so that it made you feel like you were at the big game. This sound bar is a great addition to my media room. At the $250 price tag it was a great buy.

I got this at the Black Friday price and it was a steal. Great Sound and very easy to connect to my 55" LG tv, took no more than 15 minutes. It is a little wide for this screen size, but I could not pass up the price. It connected easily to all of our wireless devices, though it seems you need to have line of sight from any distance with bluetooth. There are a lot of different settings and once you find the right one, the sound is very rich and the surround sound speaker adds a ton of depth.

Got this soundbar because it fits my 60" Sharp tv perfectly. The setup was seamless using TV ARC. Sound is great; no complaints. The added Bluetooth support with NFC pairing was just icing in the cake.

    DO NOT BUY!!

The first system worked great for about a week, setup was easy sound was great but one of the speakers blew. Took it back for an exchange, 2nd system wouldn't automatically pick up my ARC connection, called Sharp customer service and was told there is a problem with the unit. Went back for another exchange, system number 3! Not only did it not pick up my ARC connection it has a nice whistling noise coming out of the back of the sound bar. I bought a 70" Sharp tv and thought I got a great deal with this system but it turned out to be junk. Very disappointed with Sharp, will return the tv as well.

Good Audio, No Universal Remote Compatibility

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Audio is very good for TV from optical out, although music tends to need a higher crossover from the subwoofer. My major complaint is the complete lack of compatibility with the universal cable remote that many people use. After spending countless attempts entering codes, I was informed by Sharp customer service that there is, in fact, no compatibility. It seems like this should be mentioned more prominently with this product, since it negatively influences my feelings about it.

1st one I got was defective, bad or blown left channel, exchanged it and new one sounds great. The sub is horrible though, I was replacing a smaller Sony bar and the sub on that one blows this Sharp away, I wish I could pair my old Sony with this but I don't think it's possible. With a 60" panel I think it looks great since it matches the length perfectly. Bluetooth works good, but that's pretty standard on all bars now really. Overall it seems good, I got it 1/2 off with purchase of TV, not sure I would have paid full price though.

After Sharp recommended connection with an optical cable (purchased at Amazon for $5.99, delivered in 2 days flat on a Sunday no less!) To connect this sound bar to my 5 year old Sharp tv I was able to get this working and it sounds great. I would have appreciated better instructions and help from Best Buy and Sharp on connecting to an older tv.

After testing everysound bar out in the store and comparing prices and even looking up every review on the internet.... this sound bar was absolutely the best. Great sound and audio preferences to match your needs. Bluetooth and nfc are a great plus. Easy to install and get going.... took a whole 10 mins. By far best sounding bar in its class. Excellent work Sharp! !!!!!

Terrible set up and not compatible with smart tv and hdmi cable. Best Buy associate was quick to say just plug and play not the case if you have a smart TV. Sound is great but don't pay 399 for this outdated device. It was on sale for 249 and worth that price

Sounds good while it works but you'll only get 10-12 months out of this and then it'll fail. Bought 2 and both had the power source fail. Got both repaired under warranty and now 6 months later both failed again !!! Now no warranty and 2 junk soundbars. DO NOT BUY. Spend your money on another brand.

    Quit in 15 Months

I purchased this sound bar with the a 60" Sharp TV in October 2013. We love the TV, but the sound bar has been a big piece of junk. The subwoofer quit working after about 6 months. Spent an hour with the clueless customer support and was told to ship it off. A month ago, the sound bar stopped automatically turning on when the TV was turned on. We had to use the sound bar remote to power it on and change the volume. A few days ago it stopped working all together. Do not purchase this sound bar. Sharp, you really should stand behind your product. I see several reviews here where people are saying their sound bars quit in almost the exact time frame as mine. They last just long enough to get out of warranty. I'd really like someone from Sharp to replace this unit if you ever expect me to buy another Sharp product.
