really love the bass on this stereo. has great sound quality

Like the tape player since I have a lot of old tapes.

This unit makes an excellent personal stereo as well as a unit that can be used in music and dance classes. The unit can be operated either by the remote control or by the controls that are associated with the functions.

my grandmother was replacing a old Sony stereo and she was hoping to find something with a tape player which i that was impossible, but that we came across this wonderful device which did, she couldn't be happier

Hard to find this product at a reasonable price. Product received in a timely manner. It is exactly as described. Carefully packaged. Performs beautifully. Very simple to set up. Operating manual is a bit off, misleading as operating the remote. There is a "mode" button not referred to in the manual but is on the remote that does control cd selection from 1 disc thru repeating all disc continuously. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the stereo and it's functions.

Operating directions were complicated to understand.

Having been disappointed with other less expensive units, I examined the output and 'weight' of the unit to determine its potential value. A previous unit from another company was 'light' and, in fact, so light that when I pressed the buttons the entire unit slid backward. So, I am very impressed with my purchase. It cost a lot more, but as the story goes, "you get what you pay for." And that was certainly the case. I paid for the quality and got what I expected.

It's a little difficult to program but all in all it's a good buy for the price.

Stereo was bought because of the variety of inputs. It sounds very good, however; the CD changer broke within the first month. Stereo would be better with only a one disc changer so there are less moving parts.

I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I got this sound system for my office.

This stereo has good sound quality, holds 5 discs and has a cassette player and a jack for phone. Really enjoying it.

Sounds OK for a bookshelf system of this price. Found out the hard way that random play is NOT really random among the loaded CDs but only within the active CD. Radio tuner is weak - even with antenna connected. OK for playing CDs or MP3.

Both the am and fm antenna hookups are what you expect on a &19.99 system, not a good Sony. When in tuner/radio mode the system turns itself off after 10 minutes. Checked the sleep and timer settings and they are not the problem. According to Google this a known and common issue with this model. So why are Sony and Best Buy still selling them?

The stereo system is good - but the iPhone docking station does NOT handle an iPhone 6 (maybe an iPhone 3 or 4). When my son used the USB port to manually connect my iPhone 6+, the system read that my iPhone was unrecognizable. The box should plainly state which generation of iPhones are compatible.

Great sound and ease of use. I have a lot of cassettes and very happy I could listen to them again!

Unit is easy to use, has a great sound. I do wish the speakers cables that are provided were longer or didn't involve damaging to extend. I also do not like the way it powers down but still has the LED display giving information. Also to be honest the speakers are a bit large for a shelf unit and rather ugly. That being said there isn't a lot of alternates available for those of us looking for a simple bookshelf system.
