CD and Ipod use has great sound. That's all I can use as no FM antenna comes with the unit! I went back to the stores in my area as well as radio shack who supposedly has all the answers, Target and Sears with no luck on finding this antenna!! My daughter wasn't too happy when I told her the radio I got for my birthday I cant listen to a radio station! The wording for the selections could use some light as very hard to read in low light.

Been though 2 units in 8 months 3rd one quit 3 days after the initial 1 year warranty expired.. If you have CDs in when it quits working you have to disassemble to get them out,.. Geek Squad giggled and said "Yep lots of problem with these"

Do not buy this unit if you EVER plan to listen to AM radio. The AM section was so bad I took it back and exchanged it. The replacement was no better. Being able to pull in ONE listenable station in a metro area is not my idea of a good radio. FM tuner is mediocre. I have used it for 2 months now, and have tried to like it because the sound quality is excellent. Major irks are: The thing won't turn off--it goes into "standby" with flashing display in a "demo mode" which is annoying, especially at night. Accessing USB music is cumbersome. It always goes back to file #1 whenever you do anything. Features such as shuffle, random, and repeat are only accessable with the remote, and take a lot of button pushing. Summed up: Look around and you will find a better system.

Everything is good about this unit. Did have a problem with the cassette door not opening and then wouldn't close. Took it back to the store at 31 days and received a new unit. Great service.

We are pleased with our purchase and it fits our needs completely.

We replaced our aging and well used Sony 5-disc changer with the Sharp CD-DH950P. We soon learned that the Sharp unit would not receive AM nor FM stations that normally played fine when using the Sony. The FM would only receive local stations IF you held the antenna wire. We can't do that! We could not even clearly listen to an area 50,000 watt AM channel without lots of static. So dad! We are taking this back to Best Buy tonight!!!

Used in a gymnastuics school. iPod dock is very touchy sometimes works sometimes does not. CD's read inconsistently and take awhile to load.

Bought this stereo as a Christmas gift for my husband to use in his shop. He loves it! Great wattage and sound!

I just got everything hooked up, when I broke the FM antenna wire. Is there any way I can get a replacement?

We have an extensive CD collection & were specifically looking for a unit that could handle lots of them for our long evenings on the back deck. The good thing about this player is the sound quality & when it works, it is a great system for the money. But... I should have known better after the first unit I bought broke down within 18 months. Like a fool, I replaced it with the same unit last July, and now, less than a year later, this one has stopped reading all CDs too. Sharp had us take it to an authorized repair show, but they advise the parts needed to repair it are no longer available. Not sure what happens now.........

Have had problems from day one. Should've returned it immediately! The shuffle feature has never worked, can not get the antenna to stay attached no matter what I try. Purchased the extended warranty but never received anything in writing regarding coverage. Hoping that best buy makes this right somehow!

This unit is good. However, would be even more compact without cassette player. Who has any now??

Purchased as a 2015 Christmas gift. Tuner quit playing in early February and CD player quit shortly after that. Called Sharp who authorized a repair 85 miles from my home. I took the stereo to the repair center who ordered parts. They told me the repair wouldn't take longer than two weeks. After three weeks I called them and they had not heard from Sharp, so I called Sharp and was told parts were no longer available! They said I would have to send them a signed request for a refund which they would review. Two weeks later the refund was approved, but I would have to sign a release and send the broken stereo back to them before receiving the refund! It's now April 17 and I don't have a stereo or my money back! This is by far the worst experience I've had with a Company in 40 years. I'll never buy another Sharp product and would encourage you not to either!

This stereo is a piece of junk. After 2 weeks the thing would not turn on with the power button. So I had to use a function button to turn it on. No matter which one I used the display always said AUDIO IN and NO DEVICE. I tried to use a USB stick and it at least read it but would not play the music on it . The Tuner, CD, or Cassette buttons would not change the display. So I unplugged it for a few days. Again had to use a function button to turn it on since the power button wouldn't work. I ended up doing a reset and then unplugged it for 5 days. It finally responded with the power button last night but the demo would not go off with the remote, even after replacing the battery. So the piece of junk now sits there with 5 CDs trapped in it and it wont play or do anything.

I purchased this sharp stereo on april 6 of this year. Everything works well initially. Then, due to installation of h/w floor, I packed everything in the living carefully into a box, and afterward take them out. Now, the night mare begins...The CD player is no longer working...when ever I insert a cd, it shows "NO DISC"...and if I insert into disc 1, it will shuffles until goes to 1-2-3-4-5....I called best buy geeksquad, they said they not repair stereo systems. I called sharp tech sup, they gave me the nearest service center in Haverhill, that company do not repair. I don't want to drive out to thenext center which is 90 miles...so I just dispose it and today bought a new LG one...which works better...the LG 700w mini system...

Within a couple of days after purchasing it, the CD player wouldn't work and wouldn't eject my CD.

I do not like or agree with the auto shut-off, after 15 minutes, feature. I think that is a design flaw. I recently purchased this item and I am returning it because of that feature.

We could not install surround speakers because it does not have the capability. A little dissapointed.

I plugged the system in, put my ipod on top of the system and within five minutes the system locked up. Nothing would work. Also, the ipod operations were touchy. The tape and cd's operate very loudly when switching etc and the speaker wires are way to short.

Before I pan the product, I have to applaud Best Buy's customer service. They went above and beyond for me and finally refunded all my money. But, the stereo system is a joke. The first one accepted CDs and played them, BUT would not eject them. Getting the CDs out of the unit without breaking it proved impossible. The second unit would not read media, CDs or USB. It never worked.
