We have a number of Roku boxes so my wife and kids are very familiar with the simplicity of using them. I paired this with a receiver that supports HDMI ARC. That allows the simple Roku remote to directly control the surround sound receiver. Good bye smart remote and figuring out why the receiver in the closet didn't come on when it should. Roku + HDMI ARC is by far the simplest surround sound setup I've ever had.

You can select add later and just don’t add them. They just ask in case you try to download apps that cost money. All the usual apps like Netflix and YouTube are obviously free so this tv is fantastic for our living room.
