The picture is amazeing you will love it. The sound from the T.V. needs a little help but you can get a sound system if you want. Movies and games look incredible, I watched a baseball game on it in HD I thought I was in the ball park. I just got the T.V. NO PROBLEMS yet

the 120 htz does not keep up with fast action movies and/or body movements. The picture quality is great in HD and you need to spend some time with the picture settings. I returned this TV after a couple of days. I gave it a chance, but after watching a couple of regular shows and fast action movies I wasn't happy with the regeneration speed of 120htz. I also don't think the 4th color is worth the additional 600 dollars. Cnet said it wasn't worth it and I agree. I am waiting for my 65" plasma 600htz to arrive this coming week. hopefully I made a better choice.

Picture Quality of the Sharp 70" is outstanding. Wifi connects to Netflix and other applications very nicely. I am extremely pleased with the TV.

Not exactly what I'd hoped for

I originally jumped on this set as a Black Friday deal. The set had to be ordered which was fine. We frequent our local BB and I always end up in the A/V area. We've owned primary plasmas, with one LCD, in the past. I've always been amazed at the plasma pq but tried to convince myself that this LCD would be as good. The more I looked the more I began to hate it. Everything that I didn't like about LED/LCD was still there. Motion blur sucks! I can't handle it! Although I wanted the bigger screen, I just couldn't go through with this mistake. I settled for a smaller screen with an amazing picture, the P65VT30.

Beware - slow response and won't pass surround snd

This TV looked really good in the store, but after having it a couple weeks, I'm somewhat disappointed. 1. If you leave the video processing (motion enhancement, opc, digital noise reduction, etc) turned on, the video is terrible. It will lag and catch up constantly. The sound will be out of sync because of this. You can turn these features off manually but I found that just setting the tv to GAME mode eliminates the problem. 2. The TV will not output surround sound for anything other than tv tuner. In other words, if you connect a device with HDMI, you will not get surround sound out. You will have to connect the device to you AV receiver to get anything other than normal serial sound. I was expecting to eliminate a bunch of cables, but that didn't happen since all of my devices have to connect to my AV receiver for sound. Sharp does mention this in their FAQ - something you only find after trying to figure out why it won't work - http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads/ProductFAQs.aspx?category=LCDTVs . If you can live with the two shortcomings above and want a great buy on a 70" LCD, this is definitely a TV to look at. Had I known these issues, I would have purchased something else.

I have found my self watching programs that I do not like only because the picture is so vivid that I am watching the picture more then paying attention to what the program is. The colors are as vivid as true life and the screen is better then looking out your window. I would recommend this tv

I have this tv in a room that has 5- 4'x10' windows and the picture is clear with no glare. Sporting events, movies, news programs, commercials all in bright colors .This Sharp 70'' TV was the perfect size for our tv room.

The only complaint I have is that I saw it in an ad for Mothers Day and went to get it and they weren't in stock. I had to wait a week for it to come in and be installed. But Best Buy always has had great customer service and I am very happy with it.

Bought this to use as a primary display in a conference room. Most of the time it is used as either a PC display or to broadcast HD video conferencing. It is working great for both!

Poor contrast, terrible black level, hazy look

I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer who said, "Do your homework." This television is flat out awful! It's not even trying to appeal to consumers who care about picture quality. It's only trying to appeal to those who value size above all else. It wasn't even manufactured with the intent of providing excellent picture performance. It's not even marketed that way! I am absolutely shocked that other people have posted reviews calling this television the best on the market. That is so absurd and preposterous that it's not even funny. I tried to laugh at it at first, but it's actually just sad. I can only presume that the other people were DLP owners that only care about size. They are probably comparing this to their previous 65" DLP, and noticing the improvement in technology. If you compare the picture performance of this television to any mid-level plasma or led backlit LCD, it's downright pathetic in comparison. The contrast ratio is much too low for a set this size. The yellow pixel creates a haze that persists through any and all content. The black level is awful. I think the previous reviewer nailed it when he talked about how this television cannot display the look of an HD picture even when connected to a 1080P HD source. It always just looks like standard def content. It just doesn't have the capability to exhibit anything different. It's too large and has too low of a contrast ratio to overcome its inherent shortcomings. Please do your homework before you buy this simply because it is 70". It will give you the worst HD picture you have ever seen.
