TERRIBLE TV. BIG AND PICTURE QUALITY IS NOT UP TO PAR WITH WHAT IS STATED IN MANUAL. SUSPOSED TO BE 120MHZ BUT ACTUALLY 60MHZ. OPTICAL SOUND DOES NOT WORK FOR ALL INPUTS. SHARP DOES NOT EVEN HAVE THIS ITEM LISTED ON WEBSITE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MODEL.

The product came with no manual, so I can't figure out why it won't stay set on the picture. I am using hdmi. Frustrated!

Great 70" Aquos TV - most affordable!

Great picture with many dynamic and user settings available - a lot of screen size with a slim-profile TV. Sound is decent, not bad really - includes bass enhancer, surround sound, bass & treble settings. And, as in most cases, a large HDTV should be paired with a surround sound system & subwoofer .. to ensure a great overall experience. 2 of the 3 HDMI outputs are at the back, not side. If used with a slim/low-profile TV mount and more than 1 HDMI cable is required, recommend getting a low-profile right-angle HDMI cable.

    Great picture, poor sound quality

We've had this 70" Sharp for three weeks. Love the picture quality but needed to get a quality soundbar to improve the sound, no setting improved the metallic sound from the internal speakers. Bought a Polk Audio soundbar and now am thrilled with this set. Found one flaw with this 70" from Sharp, the optical port will not support external devices. Geek squad came out and after setting changes, a firmware update and a call to Sharp we discovered that the current software set up would not support external devices thru the optical port. Option two was to use the RCA output ports' hooked it up and now we have Great sound. Added a Sony wifi Blu Ray and now our system is "Smart". We're extremely pleased with this LED from Sharp. Outstanding value.

This 70" TV is great. It has 120hz and we were worried that sports would look grainy, but they don't. We do not do any gaming, so we are not sure how that would look, but we have not had any picture problems with fast motion. The picture is crisp and clear. However, for those channels or video clips that are not HD, it is VERY noticeable. It is not the fault of the TV, so we are okay with that. We have a wall mount for this TV, but have not yet put it up yet. But, the surround sound that we have attached makes it feel like a true home theater. Highly recommend, especially for the value.

So I'm sure you're looking at this TV because you don't care about 3D and you already have a flurry of 'Smart' applicances that connect to your TV like me. I would also assume that you have a full sound system because lets face it, you're not going to by a 70" TV with out big sound too. If you fit into this profile then you WILL BE HAPPY!! Just like me. Excellent picture! Fast motion handles great. I know you probably read some of the negative reviews, and I don't blame you, so did I. But the thing is 240Hz is a marketing buzz term as you can tell in this article http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2379206,00.asp . The ones that complain about poor quality, blockiness, etc, have failed to determine the issue is the source, not the TV. I'm 100% satisfied. The only thing that I learned was that LED only refers to the backlighting and LCD is still what produces the picture. This means that you get better color, power savings, thin TV, etc, but you will still won't quite get the TRUE blacks of a plasma. That being said, the black performance and contrast ratio alot better that the 60" Sharp LCD that I just replaced. #And I loved that TV so much it went in my bedroom#. So no complaints here!

    BIG SCREEN IMAGE!

Easy to setup, nice big picture. This thing is a lot bigger in your living room than it looks in an open-space sales floor. Measure your wall first and see if you really want to go this big. Remote control signal from 10 feet is weak even with new batteries. Volume adjustment is too slow and is not indicated numerically. On screen channel program display (for over the air TV) can only be viewed manually after pressing a button twice but read it fast because it only displays for like 3 seconds. My biggest negative is that the coax cable points out back instead of to the side making wall mounting a pain unless you use a 90 degree elbow fitting.

Thank you so much for your purchase of the Sharp 70LE600U from Best Buy. Although this specific Sharp TV model is not a smart internet-connectable model, it sounds like you’ve discovered other ways that Best Buy can help make your TV smart. These options include smart bluray players and smart set-top boxes, which can offer content such as Netflix

Got the tv home and it was great! Awesome picture. Hooked everything up, PS3, Dish and sound bar. Can not get sound through PS3 or sound bar. Have to manually change setting in Audio menu on tv to PC IN. Even if it is already there when first turning on the tv. Tried our surround sound, same thing. Cannot get sound through PS3 at all. Did lots of research on TV. Common problem, the optical port doesn't work. They say a fix is in the works but I saw problem go all the way back for quite a few years. For a brand new tv, I shouldn't have to manually choose settings every time. So my husband and I will be returning the TV and be going with a different one. Not worth the hassle for as much money as we paid.

When I first hooked it up I used component wires because that's what I had on my old television and the picture was not impressive. After reading some reviews I hooked up an HDMI cable box with an S-video cable and used a quality HDMI cable to the TV. Holy smokes the tv came to life , no matter what im watching ,I feel like im watching live tv even cartoons, my blu ray movies leave me speechless. I suggest in investing in quality cable source and quality HDMI cable.... then hold on....
