I wish I had this TV since 1949 instead of all the others. All content is Theater quality.

Good. Sharp should increase their app database. Also make flash available in web browser.

I really love this TV. I use it for my xbox 360, netflix, and a second screen for my laptop.

Bought this tv a little less than 2 years and it has 2 black lines on the screen it is a major annoyance to watch anything

This was a replacement for the identical model that lost pixels after just 5 months. Since it was under warranty there was a no charge replacement. Hope this one last more than 5 months. Still cannot connect to the internet. Sharp says it is the distance from router, but did get it working for a couple hours, but still could not get net flex. Other issues are at work.

The picture quality out of the box was terrible and even the Sharp Tech. Department over the telephone could not correct the terrible picture quality. I had an area lead tech from a major communications company come by and even he could not correct the problem. He has been in the business for 22 years. The extra yellow color that is added to this T.V. actually makes the picture worse. It disguises the color patterns of the T.V. I know that Sharp makes the panels for most of the T.V. brands but they need to concentrate on their own software of their own brand of T.V's.

The default settings for the picture are not well tuned. I am using the ones below, on the setting "USER" and I get a great and vibrant and natural picture. I previously has a 65 inch sharp LCD, one of the HDMI ports went bad so I decided to replace the TV, which was 8 years old. We had a lot of discussion in my family about an 80 inch vs. 70 inch. We went with a 70 inch. I leave it to you to figure out who won that debate, the husband or wife. :-) Anyhow, the picture is great. I use an audio receiver with opticial toslink cables and I have a four port HDMI switcher along with two direct HDMI feeds into the inputs of this TV. Everything works great. I am surprised by how vivid the 3D picture is too. However, due to apparent lack of demand, there is not much 3D content out there. I did not buy the TV for the 3D capability so this is an added bonus for us. Since my almost 10 year old daughter has a lot of friends visit, I bought 3 more pairs of 3D glasses. The set came with two pairs of glasses. I like the fact that the menus are consistent across all sharp models, even older sets. This makes it easy for someone like me who purchases Sharp TVs to continue to upgrade to new models. For me, the bottom line is how good the picture is for HD viewing, typically 1080i since most viewing is via 1080i on DirecTV, our service provider. It has a great picture, plain and simple. The set is very thin, less than an inch and looks very slick hanging on the wall above our fireplace. The price is great, about $2.3K. In the past, I spent over $8K for a 65 inch TV which has less features to this is a great value. I have always owned Plasma TV's and was replacing a Samsung 55" so at first I was a little concerned on what the picture quality would be and if there would be any "blurring" you here so much about. I gotta tell you NO REGRETS here. The picture quality is so life like you sometimes feel like its really happening and not just a movie or teleision show. The 3D is way better then I anticipated. I have it all connected to a surround sound system so movie watching is an experience now and no blurry picture even in action scenes etc... with this 240Hz TV. I rated sound quality average as it is for a TV, but with a surround sound not an issue. The set up was fairly easy and having whole home WIFI is great with this set. I purchased a Harmony universal remote as well. I admit it was a bit confusing at first to set up but once you figure it out it becomes fairly easy. Harmony had great tech support to help me on a few questions. It was great how Best Buy checked prices for me and did a price match on everything I bought saving me several hundred dollars. Even though I gave sound a lower score I still had to give it five stars again the TV is great but all TV's regular speakers are average to me.

thank goodness for the extended warranty because this TV stopped working after 13 months of use. But thanks to the warranty we were able to get it replaced.
