I had so much trouble getting the film cover off the microwave itself that I almost returned it! Finally, the manager in my building was able to get it off by tipping it on its side and starting there! It took him 45 minutes! This is a horrible, frustrating experience!!!!! I followed all the instructions without success! You should definitely warn people about this possibility!!!

Any microwave that doesn't have a light when you open the microwave or no lights on the panel and doesn't let you see anything when you are taking things out and in of the microwave is ridiculous. Al that aside, the default for starting is in 1 min increments? seriously? Just a pain to use this unit. Terrible design. Sharp? More like Dumb.

Died After 18 Months

Unlike any other microwave I've owned, pressing a number on that one starts to cook for the time noted on the number. Press 1, it automatically starts cooking for one minute. Press 2, two minutes. Etc. Some folks will like this; I didn't. I won't cover the other things, as the MOST important reason I dislike this microwave is that it died one year and six months later (no sure why BestBuy thinks I bought it three months later). I was cooking something for about 40 seconds, and I could hear "snaps" and noted that the light was fading commensurate with the snaps. I started to cook something else, and noted it had the same issue. It was promptly unplugged and set aside.

a couple glaring issues

So, I purchased this model. Good build quality as expected. However, no light when door opens, only when cooking. My biggest complaint is the digital display is a blinding bright blue. It literally hurt my eyes and made me dizzy to look at it. I had to return it and bought the GE model comparable to this. Thank you Best Buy for a good return policy.
