When it does the loudness increases in almost a thunking surge. We use it to heat up vegetables and fruits and occasionally it burns them.

This Sharp does not have a door light. This is something I did tell sales people I wanted they said they thought it should . None of microwaves were plugged in so did not realize till got it un packed. It works ok but cannot believe they made it with no door light.
