For our family of 4 adults it works fine as we use it mainly to reheat food around 2 minutes each plate. I have to keep an extra 10 or 20 seconds than my previous microwave. One draw back I don't like is that the revolving glass plate slips away very frequently when we take something in or out of the microwave.
