It's a nice air purifier. I notice it clears the odor in the room nicely. Over all I like it and do use it.

This item is quiet and effective. Looks nice, does not take up too much space. I have tried others - but none have been this nice and quiet. Leaves a fresh clean feel to the room. recommend this to anyone.

This is amazing! It has definitely helped my night time allergy and asthma attacks! My only complaint is the plasma cluster makes a strange noise when it's on. And the high setting is Very loud! But I keep the plasma cluster on and the machine on high while I'm at work. Then turn it down while I'm in the room with it. The plasma cluster sound only bothers me while I'm trying to sleep as it isn't a constant noise.

2 Cats, 2 Dogs, Smoker placed in 600sq ft. area ions are the way to go! This unit was placed in my living room which is open to my dining room and kitchen. After 1 hour of running the device on high I could start to notice a slight difference. I left the device on overnight and by morning our house was smelling better already! havent had this long enough to determine how much it will cut down on dust but after just 24 hours I am certainly impressed. especially considering the fact that it is cleaning an area 3x larger than it is designed if you run the device on low you may notice a "ticking/buzzing" sound. this is normal, this is how the charged particals are generated.

I purchased this about a few months ago, and as someone who has allergies for all seasons... This really made a difference. The three setting allows me to modify the intensity depending on how severely allergic I am to the season. I did noticed a larger amount of dust (but that could be due to the season) that could have resulted from the ionizing option. My allergies seem to be better, however it isn't pollen season yet (spring/summer is the worse allergy-wise), so I have yet to confirm its efficiency for spring. But so far, so good.

I bought this at best buy last august. It looked and worked great(a little pricey but seemed good quiality). I have needed to change the filters now(hepa and Charcoal). Well, best Buy offers no support, tried ebay, amazon, HHGRegg etc, everywhere I could search on google etc. Finally emailed sharp directly, was answered quickly with 4 places in the USA that sell them. After contacting the first place, was told they are out of stock and can be ordered but for both filters, its more than the price of a new unit. This is insane, since the unit is 10 months old and works well. So, my recomendation is if they dont sell the filters where you buy this, dont get it. It will be a 200$ mistake in less than 1 year.

Over priced filters and carbon replacement and you cannot find them any where. Best Buy sells the unit but not filters. Sharp website does not sell them either...hmmmm! Waste of money!

Air filter is great. Finding replacement HEPA filters is IMPOSSIBLE - Best Buy doesn't even sell them. They can be found several places online but they are never in stock, ever! I did actually find one online retailer who had them in stock (so they claimed) but after shipping it would have only cost about $15 more to get a WHOLE NEW Air Purifier. If you buy this filter you have been warned. Shop for another brand and shop for the replacement filters FIRST! I bought two of these and regret it tremendously. Never again.
