    Excellent Picture

The picture is outstanding - great color, brightness, and depth, even in 2D the picture jumps out at you. However, the audio is fair at best. Pretty much requires you to add a soundbar or home audio system. I realize this is the case with most thin screen tv's, but i still think they could have did a better job. The addition of a backlit remote would also be nice. My last caveat - does not have built in support for Amazon streaming.

This Tv is so clear and realistic when watching HD that you almost feel you are looking through the camera. You can see the pores on some of the actors faces it is so clear. And the 4th color added makes it look so much better. I never new what I was missing. The only problem I have is getting my grown kids off so I can enjoy it. We replaced a 70 inch rear projection Tv and I thought we could go down to a 60 but am so glad we went for the 70 inch. We have only had it a couple of months but everyone is enjoying it so much. I would definetly recommend it to anyone.

Its great 3d tv. Specially the 70 inch screen.Love to watch movies on this big screen. Had a excellant picture quality. But still had a internet problems. most of the time picture freezed and then have to turn off the tv to work again. I bought the sharp blue ray 3d player bd-hp-35 withit. This player is good too. But has same internet connection problem to. As soon as player turn on, it start accescing the internet and never get access. accescing sign stay on all the time. Had to unplug the player and restart it to work again. So if you want to enjoy watching the big screen. Both items are good.To just get internet connection and stream movies i dont recmend these both units. To streem movies I bought sony bdp-s590. work great and had lot of free things to watch.

I've only had this for two days, but I have to say the picture quality is outstanding. It wasn't so great right out of the box, but after a few simple adjustments it was awesome. Watching movies or shows, it makes it feel as if you are right on the set during filming, it's absolutely incredible. I can't comment on the sound quality as I'm using a surround sound receiver. Had the lip sync problem, but adjusted the receiver and all is good.

I love the big screen and the picture quality is great too. The fact that it has internet connectivity through widgets and its own browser is a nice feature.

I was originally nervous about buying another Sharp after previous experiences with their edge lit models, but the 2012 lineup appears to be a huge improvement. Their previous edge lit LED TV's had horrible lighting consistency problems which resulted in light leaks and dark spots in the corners. This TV does not show any of those problems and has a very bright, consistent and vivid screen with great color reproduction. I do however have a number of complaints about the set 1) The app suite is very slow to load, the controls often do not respond and apps frequently crash or fail to load 2) When switching from a non-HD channel back to an HD channel, I loose all sound and must re-start the set or cycle inputs until the sound returns. Sharp says that compatibility issues with certain cable boxes cause this problem. 3) The sound and video often go out of sync and I must cycle channels to correct the problem. This is annoying and Sharp has again blamed my cable box (even though I swapped out my other TV and the problem went completely away).

A friend of mine bought the 2011 model and I knew I had to have one. The picture is beautiful, you can stand a foot away and still not see the pixils. It's always totally smooth and clear. Surround sound... maybe because the tv ends two feet to your right and two feet to your left if you're sitting in the center. This beast is worth every penny. Movies: awesome. Gaming: Awesome Sports: AWESOME!

Don"t use the speakers on the television. Connected to surround sound 5.1 receiver in a media room. Even though the room is fairly small, the picture size is perfect. Sales rep talked us out of the 80" and he was right. It would have been too big for the space. Great sales representative. Good experience with the delivery service.

This tv is amazing i never thought i would switch away from my sony bravia series but when i saw this tv in person i had to have it. It makes my sony look like an old tube tv. The only drawback is the internal speakers arent that great but if your buying a tv like this you most likely have a home theater system which completes the package. A must have in your house.

    Xtra-large TV

simply put - The Sharp LC-70LE845U is an exceptional LED/LCD TV. I replaced a very good Sony 52" XBR4 with the Sharp. Once the picture on the Sharp was calibrated, I can advise that in every aspect the Sharp matches or beats the XBR4 (also a great TV). The color depth is surprisingly good at this large screen size. There is NO perceptible ghosting / artifact issues on any programing that I've watched. The 3D performance is great, but I do wish this set was passive 3D opposed to active.3D. The only issue has been HDMI handshake issues with a Motorola STB. This was resolved by changing the audio output of the STB. regarding changing the output of the Motorola STB - Verizon FiOS tech did not know how to migrate to a hidden setup menu on the Motorola STB, THe Sharp tech that I called for assistance knew exactly how to resolve the issue. Kudos Sharp!!

Great picture! No problems "out of the box". Connected to my home wireless network with no issues. Watched Netflix without a flaw. Only thing I did was tweak the video settings to my tast. We have a bright living room so I left the "auto brightness control" active after tweaking the video settings and the picture is great!

Bought for great room addition. Room is 500sqft and TV is just right for the room. Sound from TV is average but adding a surround sound system (Bose) has enhanced my viewing pleasure. All in all a Great TV.

Been watching large screens since the mid 80's. Coming from a 65" DLP and wanted to move up a bit in size. After several months of research and side by side comparisons with other models, decided on this Sharp 70. I am beyond pleased. Picture quality is outstanding!

This TV has superior picture quality with wonderful colors and brightness. It was a snap to install and hookup with no problems encountered at all! It takes up much less space than my old 60" DLP.

    Large Screen

I like the large screen from the Sharp. I am coming from a 52" 6 series Samsung LCD to the 70" Sharp. So far, the picture quality from my Samsung was superior to that of the Sharp. However, I am getting the Sharp calibrated in the next week or two, which I think will help. I would definitely sacrifice a little bit of picture quality for a larger screen...hands down.
