Did not plan to write a review until the same issue happened to me. Best Buy has a terrible habit of sending unactivated gift cards by mail. Its now happened to me on two orders in a row. If you order from the website, immediately check your giftcards and be prepared to spend an hour on the phone to fix the issue if they screwed up. This is literally a fraud!! Dont buy any gift card from best buy

Great to have handy to give a gift or help you budget fuel expense of Shell is one of the gas stations you prefer. Use it at the pump like you would use any other debit/credit card. Been using the card myself within the household as a way to help budget for gas without fuel money going to something else.

When you’re going to spend this money on gas anyway, why not just get a gift card!? You won’t have to worry about any scams happening with your card at a pump and get this.... you’ll rack up your Best Buy points for spending money you would’ve just spent at shell anyway!!!

I was able to use it successfully at the many Shell gas stations nearby. However, it was not as convenient as credit card. I was forced to go into the store and prepay using the gift card.

Good for traveling to avoid identity theft. Only problem with these is once you use it the first time, most stations make you go inside for subsequent visits. Takes time

Prefect to have for emergency gas. I keep one in my wallet for a just in case if need gas and do not have money on me.
