I waited years for this game to come out, and was so hyped to play it. It's a great trip down nostalgia lane but the 3rd entry in Shenmue feels like a storyline that's stuck in a lull, and doesn't move the plot forward as heavily as the 2nd game did. The game plays perfectly fine but has some design flaws that make it feel like a huge step forward. The atmosphere and music shine through as the previous games did and some of the new additions are wonderful. It just feels like a lower budget Shenmue experience, considering it was funded through Kickstarter.

My first shenmue game. The story is interesting, and I loved the battle mechanisms. The only complain is regarding the character’s facial expressions ( they look weird). Overall, a great game.

If your a fan of the originals this game is a must over 30 hours of gameplay it brought me back to playing shenmue when i was a kid great memories!

Shenmue 3 is a good game i remember playing the first one on the sega dreamcast almost 20 years ago wow I feel old anyway you won't be disappointed with part 3 give it a try.

Shenmue 3 takes everything from the first two games and does them better. So if you liked the first two, you will love this one. If you haven't played any of the other games, you will probably be very confused with the story overall, but not too much that the game isn't enjoyable.

Having waited 20 years for this sequel, I’m so happy they haven’t radically changed the formula! Some people seem to hate this game, perhaps as they’re used to modern games holding their hands. This is classic gaming in a modern and it’s a wonderful thing to behold.

Shenmue premiered on the SEGA Dreamcast 10 years ago and brought gamers into a relatable yet magical world. After Shenmue II came out for the Original Xbox, fans of the game had to wait for nearly a decade for this amazing story to come to a finish. And... it delivers.

After playing Shenmue 2 many years ago, I've been waiting for the next chapter in this series. This game was definitively enjoyable, but would have liked a closure to the series.

I played the original two games on the Dreamcast and OG Xbox, and enjoyed them both. They were good for their time, and helped to set the standard for open world and detailed environmental games. This game (part 3) was originally funded on Kickstarter, and got a lot of backing. Prior to this game being released, the first two were re-released on modern systems. If you really liked those two, you will probably like this one. If you haven't played those, I think most people would pass on this one.

After finishing shenmue 2 I didn't think I would ever get to finish the shenmue story but look like there's more story to play the game feels kinda dated but still worth the play

The Shenmue formula is designed for a slower paced game with lots of exploration. Please play for the first two Shenmue games before moving on to this one. Actually, if this is one sale please buy it anyway. We need Shenmue 4...

wasn't happy knowing that it was not pro enhanced, but picture quality and game play is great. Waited almost 2 decades and had forgotten about the game, i'm glad there is a part 3, but i heard this is not the end of his journey. Must have for all shenmue fans

It’s amazing that this game exists at all. If you have an affinity for the Dreamcast games, this is an easy purchase. Newer gamers probably won’t appreciate it the same way.

this is one of the best games of that place so far I've been waiting for this game for 20 years if I like him out thanks for all the people that you did I recommend Jesus game but it's not for everyone collection 1 and 2 on dreamcast you would love this

i've played 1 and 2 on xbox, was wanting this one on xbox but it was really cheap and decided to get it while I could, Free steel case was awesome as well!

This was a pretty good entry in the Shenmue universe. It's a pretty good game, but would've been nice to see what the devs could've done with a triple-A budget.

Must have for Shenmue I & II owners, hopefully the series will live on multiple platform and continue to improve with better team. Good game when on sale!

Must buy if you are a fan of the original, got it on sales for $10 w/ steel bookcase no complaint, If you can get it under $20 is worth buying.

If you were a fan of Shenmue 1 and 2 back in the days this game is a great sequel that would make you ask for Shenmue 4. If you never played 1 or 2... Go play them.

As a fan of the Shenmue series, I really like this game. It's pacing and gameplay hearkens back to the early games in the series. For newcomers, they might find this game to be a bit outdated. For us fans, I am so glad that this game exists!
