After seeing first Sherlock movie and rather liking it, I was expecting a lot from the sequel. Maybe that's why it didn't live up to what I hoped I would see, but was enjoyable movie nonetheless.
Most of the old cast is back and stellar as always, even more slow motion scenes make appearance, which only helps flesh out amazing physics we can't usually catch with naked eye and story while not as twisted as in the first one, keeps you on the edge nonetheless.
All in all, if you liked first movie, you will definitely like this one as well. It might not be as great, but it definitely is worth watching!

As a fan of the books this movie continues what I love about Sherlock his keen ability to see beyond what is there and discover the answer. This chapter adds a darker tone to a napharious plot to destroy the world... Right Great action scenes and the wonderful extrapolation of how Sherlock predetermines his moves in a slow mo recap of how he will achieve victory in combat. (Rober Downey Jr.) plays a delightful addict to adventure and solving a mystery again in this followup film ready to see another!

A much improved plot with better acting and lots of humor due to Stephen Fry as Holmes' brother and better lines from minor roles from Watson's wife and Holmes' housekeeper. Noomi Rapace was a BIG plus as a gypsy princess. I hope there is another sequel that is as good. THe relationship and connection is deeper and more believable; Robert Downey JR and Jude Law NOW really play off each other better. Downey's portrayal of Holmes is more diverse and enjoyable...he should have gotten best actor fot Chaplin; maybe he would have gotten respect and more interesting characters and parts sooner.

With all the Sherlock overload lately, between the PBS series and the Elementary series, I almost passed on this movie. I am glad I did not. This Sherlock is different enough from the two TV series to create an entirely unique version of the well know character. I also questioned whether Robert Downey would fill the role well. Turns out he does his interpretation of Sherlock in fine fashion, creating a distinct version of the character. All in all, an enjoyable viewing that we will probably watch again fairly soon. The special features were not too bad either.

Another enjoyable installment in the Sherlock Holmes franchise. Once again, Robert Downey Jr. shines as the literary detective along with Jude Law as the ever-faithful Dr. Watson. Jared Harris joins the cast as Holmes' greatest adversary, Professor Moriarty. A fun movie that showcases Holmes' intelligence and eccentricities. Totally recommend.

Sherlock Holmes is re imagined beautifully in this classic retelling of a great story. Robert Downey, Jr looks born to play this role and definitely makes the movie better with his presence.
Special effects and magical cinematography make the film a visual feast for the eyes. After watching this movie, I'm glad I built my home theatre - this disc really takes advantage of it.
In short, buy this fast before it sells out - and it will!

Let me say, I love Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr but JARED HARRIS steals the show on this. If you've never seen him on MAD MEN look him up. This movie was nothing without him. Guy Ritchie outdoes himself through this sequel. Don't listen to the professional critics, they all eat cheese through a straw and get paid to hate things. It's disgusting....that being said I would love that job. JARED HARRIS!

This is one of only a few sequels that I genuinely liked. The chemistry between Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law is great. They really do make a great team. Only cons are that they rely a lot on the special effects from the first movie, like slowing everything down or when Sherlock Holmes explains what he is about to do again in slow mo.

Robert Downey Jr. is a studmuffin. He is great from the first scene to the last, and the plot and action keeps up with him at break-neck pace. Of course, Sherlock Holmes is on the case, and the mystery is wonderfully done, as clues pop up, and only Sherlock is truly able to figure them out, and get to the bottom of things. If you enjoyed the first movie, this is similar, but different enough that it will be a classic.

This a great sequel to the first film with excellent acting, cinematography and audio mix. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one too. This Blu-ray really excells in picture and sound quality making you feel like you're part of the movie itself. If you have all the latest equipment, TV or projector, receiver and speakers, then you'll really enjoy this movie at home. Definitely worth adding to your collection.

This is a movie that can be watched over and over. Every viewing you find something new. The acting was exquisite, the plot consistently entertaining. The only distracting element was the zip special effect,, where the actor was one place and suddenly they were across the room without seeing them get there, unless that was a glitch in the film but it looked more like an effect, i.e. they use in horror films.

Most times the sequel to an original movie can be disappointing. Not the case with this movie. It is ever as entertaining as the first and equally as humorous and action packed. The plot is complex and the special effects are spectacular. I really enjoyed watching this movie.

While this may not be quite as good as the first, it is definitely a great movie. I love the style in which this was shot, like the first and on BD, it's even more spectacular. There is great chemistry between the actors and it conveys on the screen. If you liked the first, you will like this one too and the BD version does not disappoint. It would nice to see these made into a trilogy.

A well-written sequel to the first movie. The chemistry between Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law's characters is very believable. There is something for everyone in this movie: drama, action, and comedy. If you enjoyed the first movie, then you will definitely enjoy this one.

I'm a huge Robert Downey, Jr fan. I own both of his Sherlock Holmes movies on DVD. I love to watch them again on occasion. Great action and dialogue. Game of Shadows follows more or less the same formula that the original had. While I think the first one is still the better of the two, this one is still worth seeing, if you've seen the first. Highly recommended for Downey fans.
