Great solution for podcasts and YouTube video type of content. Comfort is next level. For the first time in my life I forgot I was wearing them into a store. Easy to fall asleep with them in as well. If you want this for calls, look elsewhere. The microphone is mid at best. Battery life is excellent. I knew this going in. If you are looking for audiophile sound, again look elsewhere. This does sound much better than my bone conduction Shokz, but then I have a different use case for those as well.

    My new favorite ear buds.

Shokz has been known for years for making a variety of earphones and buds, and for me, one of my favorite pair of them are some bone conducting buds, that sit on instead of in your ear, allowing you to hear your surroundings while still getting good sound. The new Shokz OpenDots One buds work in a similar way, in that you can hear your music and calls and still hear your surroundings, but in this case, they clip onto your ears, so the speakers rest inside your outer ear, but do not block your inner ear canals. The OpenDots come with a pill shaped charging case that will give you several charges when fully topped up. I’ve been able to get roughly 5 hours of use using medium volume out of the pair before they show signs of of sputtering out. You just pop them back in the case to recharge and then reuse. You’ll get several more charges from the case before it needs charged itself, and you can use a short (or any) USB-C cable to charge it, or, it will also charge wirelessly, though a little slower that way. The buds fit neatly into the case. Long-pressing the button on the back puts it into Bluetooth pairing mode, and I have had no issues connecting them to my iPhone or my TV. A short press on the button will show you the battery life on the case – green, orange, or red. It would be nice to have several small lights to better let you know how much charge is in it, though. Once connected, you just clip/slide them onto the side of your ear, with the speakers resting in your outer ear area and the battery/control area semi behind your ear. In a way, they almost look like clip-on earrings (at least according to a few people who have seen them on me). They’re more comfortable than I thought they’d be. They don’t pinch, but stay secure, even when I move my head around. They haven’t slipped off at all, so I feel they are secure. Even after a few hours of wear, they aren’t uncomfortable, so long as you don’t literally lay down on your side with them in. Controls are easy. A quick guide is on the wrapper and on a small sheet included in the box. You can pinch both sides of the battery compartment a couple of times to play/pause music. Pinching and holding for a couple of seconds on the right increases the volume, and lowers it on the left. The two pinch method also works to answer a call, or you can tap the inner portion of the OpenDots twice to do the same thing. Holding the pinch on both sides will reject a call. The combinations take a few times to get the hang of, but they work well. I haven’t seen a specific water repellent rating for this model, but in general, Shokz has been known to at least be decently swear resistant, so I haven’t had any issues with that aspect of it. Sound quality is very good. A little weak with just one ear, but using both together, the sound opens up really nicely, with a good range of highs and lows. People around me say they can’t really hear anything unless I crank them up a good bit. Calls are ok. I can hear people very well, but do have to talk slightly above normal volumes in order for them to hear me. I’ve been told they can tell I’m on earbuds, but they also said I’m clear enough to get the job done. I’m giving the OpenDots One five stars, because they are not only very innovative in design, but are comfortable and work well. They may become my favorite pair of earbuds! Recommended.

After trying dozens of models, I finally found the best ones. The sound adapts to my needs and how I want to wear them. They don't feel like they're falling off. They're not heavy! They're very comfortable and easy to use. I like them so much that I bought a second pair for my grandmother!

First thing I want to start off with is the fit of these buds, it is amazing! They are very comfortable and you can wear them all day without having ear fatigue. The second is the sound. I will tell you I am one that does not mind an app and to get the full compliment of these buds, you do need to use the app. I adjusted the equalizer to my liking and you can actually get a nice full sound, with decent bass considering they don't sit inside of your ear canal. They are great for phone calls as well as I use these all day long for music and taking calls, I haven't had any complaints with the other party while I'm on the phone as far as them hearing me or me hearing them. The one complaint I do have are the controls. They are very limited, basically to play/pause and volume up/down, maybe a software upgrade will come through and will give more controls, but I can live with it for now. One of the other things that makes my day great with these are the fact that I am able to listen to music while I have a conversation with them and can here the person I'm talking to perfectly fine. All in all these are a total win and if the controls get an upgrade these will be excellent.

Incredible quality while also being able to hear my surroundings, Open ear is the way to go. Its clear for calls and music sounds great on work outs, does not move or fall out of my ear when running. I would recommend these to everyone and anyone who wants to hear their surroundings while also listening to audio. The connection is great, I use them about 2 hours a day during work out and have charged them once in 10 days. Batteries last a while between charging and thankfully has wireless charging as well as wired. 10/10 or in the case of best buy, 5 stars,

In general, I have had a good experience with these headphones. At first, I was skeptical because they are different, but the battery lasts a long time, and the sound is good. The comfort is good, not excellent, but definitely good. I would recommend them because you can hear the sound clearly and block out external noise.

I bought these as an owner of the older "behind the neck" shokz. Pros: - sound is excellent and the app lets you modify the equalizer to adapt sound to what you listen to - environmental sound transparency is great - very comfortable, and they stay on my ears Cons: - the fast-forward triple-tap and pause double-tap can be very finicky and work as intended about 75% of the time - I accidentally flung one of these off my ear during a run, when my fingertip caught on the ear loop after fast forwarding (triple tap). Overall I really like these, and hope they improve the double and triple tap sensitivity.

I love these Shokz! The sound and fit works great for me and I have tried a lot of styles and brands before trying these. The other brands style either hurt my ear or would not stay in/on my ear while simply just moving around my house and would not trust them for outdoor activities. Shokz stay on my ear and they are so comfortable I usually forget to take them off when not in use.

I was first introduced to Shokz when my girlfriend’s son got a pair of the OpenFit earbuds, he loved them so much I ended up getting the OpenRun headphones. Both sets have been great and the OpenRun have now been given to my girlfriend after getting the OpenDots. She never liked any in ear earbuds and the Shokz were the first wireless headphones she liked. The biggest draw for all of us with the Shokz brand is the fact of not having earbuds in the ear, so less chances of getting an ear infection from in ear earbuds. With the OpenDots, you get a pair of earbuds you’re not having to constantly adjust, I mean with these, you can literally put them on and never touch them again. I was really surprised at how well these stay on the ear, but even more surprised at how good they sound. These things sound just as good as in ear buds, which you would think they wouldn’t since they don’t seal the ear canal. With the Shokz app, you can choose different sound profiles or create your own. You also have find my earbuds functionality in the app. Usage wise, Shokz claim up 40 hours of listening and when it’s time to charge you have fast charging via USB-c or wireless charging. They also have multi point functionality as well as being able to use each earbud independent of each other for both music and calls. The OpenDots show you can have great sound from an innovative set of ear buds that aren’t in ear earbuds.

The most comfortable ear buds for working out

These smaller and discrete ear buds are my go to for working out in the gym. The sound quality is right up where I expect them to be. My favorite part of the ear buds is the comfort. They feel very comfortable and stay put when working out. Some of the controls on them are not the best, but for what I use them for I find them user friendly. If you are looking for a pair for working out or in a situation you are moving around a lot I would suggest them fully!

They are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever had! I have never owned earbuds that didn’t hurt after a little while of wearing them, but I have worn these for hours without even feeling them on . The sound is so crisp and perfect too! I use them every day and I haven’t had to charge them more than once every couple of weeks

This is my first time using an open-ear headphone set, and it's absolutely worth it! It came nicely packed with a complimentary protective case, a type-c charging cable and a super easy-to-follow user guide. The earbuds are incredibly lightweight, non-invasive and very comfortable! I can wear them for hours without any discomfort or the annoying feeling of something pulling my ears. Sometimes I even forget I have them on! Despite the light weight, the earbuds fit snugly and stay in place well.. There are also touch controls on earbuds that are smart, sensitive and responsive, which are pretty convenient.

Comfortable fit, lightweight, good sound. I use primarily for audio books. Traditional earbuds don’t stay in my ears and I needed something that would be comfortable to wear with glasses and a helmet. They also do not get in the way of earrings.

Although you could use these headphones for running, working out, or general use where you want to hear what is going on around you, I got them for work. I can wear them all day and not get ear fatigue like i used to get with in ear earbuds. Sound (music and podcasts) quality is good, comfort is great, they are secure (wont fall out). The only place they are lacking for me is mic quality. Since I use them for teams calls, i use my laptop mic and use these to listen to the audio

So far these have been my favorite open ear headphones! So why the 4 stars? First the positives. 1. Very comfortable. Like many other's have stated there were periods where I physically checked my ears because I wasn't sure if they were on or not. 2. Great sound in Dolby mode. Feels like listening to a soundtrack of your life. 3. Perform great when playing sports or working out. Absolutely no movement and they felt secure the whole time. 4. Surprisingly these headphones don't have a R/L for your ears. You put them on and it figures it out on it's own. This doesn’t seem like a big deal but being able to listen in one ear, and just pop the other in when the battery was low, was a really nice addition. Also its easy to share with another person without beingnconcerned about "ear wax". Now the negatives. 1. Open air also means you can hear everything when you don't want to. This is to be expected but be aware that you likely won't get enough volume to "drown out" unwaited noises. 2. My first set had a slight issue with the charge case where In had to readjust tye buds to get a good connection. On several occasions I would discover that one bud had not charged after being left in the case due to failed pin connections. (Note: Nonissues with thrle exchanged pair so far) 3. Microphone for phone calls is very average. Expect to get the "I cant hear you" response when you're walking into the wind or really loud areas. 4. Oddly there are 3 touch control areas on the headphones but they are limited to 2 functions. (Long press to pause/play music, double-tap to raise/lower volume) - You can add a "skip" function but you lose one of the other two options. Also the "double-tap" function doesn't always work well when you’ve been working out. Overall these are my favorite and I would recommend despite the short comings.

The Shokz OpenFit earbuds blend comfort and innovation with their open-ear design, letting you enjoy rich sound while staying tuned into the world around you. Their featherlight feel makes them barely noticeable, yet they stay put even through intense workouts. While not built for audiophiles, they shine in versatility—perfect for runners, commuters, and multitaskers who value awareness as much as audio.
