I played the demo and had hopes for this. After buying it I wanted my money back. My brother tried returning his but they would not take it back. The AI just sucks. It is way too aggressive. It's not that it is hard the AI is just stupid. Even if you have every tech and have him surrounded he still threatens you like he might win. There is no real diplomacy. You either give them what they want or the war goes on leaving you no choice but to eliminate them. All the AI players declare war on you early on making the only real choice to win to be domination. Also for those that can't wait for modern units then you will be disappointed. The units evolve to WWII era type and that is where it stops. No jets, stealth anything, or aircraft carriers to name a few. And for those who like nukes then you better build the Manhattan project because if you don't you don't get the one and only one nuke in the whole game. You can't build them. You just get one nuke for the wonder you built and that is all. There are no customizations to the games except difficulty level and who you want to be. The maps are all really small too. There is only one map size and that is it. I like not having to deal with workers but that is all. If you never played any of the other games then you may like this. For all others avoid the purchase, at least until you hear about patches to add more to this horrible game.

This game is lackluster. It falls well short of the PC versions. If you own Civ4 and all the expansions such as Warlords and BTS then you know what i'm talking about. I bought this game hoping to get an indepth version of Civ for my PS3 and all I got was an arcade style Civ....If you like this game and have never played Civ for the PC then you don't know what you're missing. ***IF YOU OWN CIVILIZATION FOR THE PC. DO NOT BUY THE PS3 VERSION!***
