Customers are saying

Customers admire Sid Meier's Civilization VI for its addictive and engaging gameplay, offering numerous possibilities and extensive playtime. The game's portability is also a significant plus, with many praising its convenience on the Switch. However, some users find the controls challenging and require time to master, while others mention the game's complexity and steep learning curve. The smaller screen size on the Switch is also noted as a potential drawback by some players.

If you've played previous titles, then this isn't too much different other than added mechanics, gameplay style, UI, and graphics. Overall it's a good game on the go. The only issue you may have is obviously the smaller screen. Other than that it's a good decent game.

Good. Not great but good. It play’s pretty nice on the handheld. It’s cool to take it along with but let’s face it….it’s hard for a pc game to do well on a console.

GReat price for the game. Is a little hard to understand at 1st. Takes some time to figure out all the controls. Im used to the old school way when games came with manuals

Game is fun! If you like SimCity and those sort of games, then this is up your alley. Took me a minute to figure out the controls but, overall, still a fun game.

Though I have only played a few hours of this version (unlike many more hours on PC), this is a great port of a great game. If you like Civilization games and want to enjoy them on the go, then this is for you! Works very well, no complaints.

Great strategy game, but it does have a steep learning curve. If you have the time to spend on this game, it is pretty rewarding and satisfying.

Been playing Civ since it originally started. While it takes a while to get use to the controls, once you do the game is awesome! Play is a little different then the PC version but overall it’s very close. Highly recommend if you’re a Civ fan.

It's not as complex as playing on a PC, but will still suck you in and keep you playing all night long. Worth it for fans that want a portable civ, but do your homework if you've never played before.

I have always been a fan of the Civilization franchise, and this version is no exception. I will say the controls can he a bit cumbersome, but other than that, gameplay is awesome.

Haven’t played any of the prior games I got this game in a whim. Honestly I’m enjoying this game as it’s rewarding seeing things evolve based on your decisions. If the tv is occupied I can just continue on the go or tabletop mode.

I bought this because I've played Civ for decades. Wanted to try it out on a console. It's pretty much the same game play with a few additions. The hardest part though was getting used to the controls vs PC

I love Civilization 5. So when I heard this was coming out I had to get it. I played this on PC but I dropped off. It just wasn't the same as civ 5. But since I got the switch I've been yearning for Civilization on the handheld. And from the moment I installed and started playing it I was addicted. The portability of the switch is exactly what it needed. However once it gets the the midgame and beyond the framerate drops and there is an input delay. It's not game breaking since it's turn based but it was just annoying. This game is great on the switch regardless of those problems.

This game is a blast to play. Controls are a learning experience but that’s Civ. Once you get the hang of the game it’s easy to play and a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this game to others.

The game works really well on the Switch. There is a big learning curve to get started on the game with menus. The only way to play Civ 6 without the pc. Good game.

Good Game, but Too Slow for Switch

This would be a great game for PC or iPad but the fact that the average game is going to take draining the battery at least twice to me means it's too slow of a game. Also the amenities requirement is either broken or intentionally ridiculous. It takes so long to play that if you make mistakes early on you wasted a lot of time to lose in the end. But maybe I'm just bad at it and it's sour grapes! Very polished game, good graphics on the Switch didn't notice any struggling. Some things can be hard to see like tap+hold on a square to see the stats, cuz your finger is in the way.
