It’s been a while since I played. Civilization game, and this is the first time I’ve ever played it in a console... but that being said I am having a killer time. It’s really involved, and games can take a long time but I’m in quarantine so that’s fine with me. I do like that if I have things I’ve gotta do I can just put the Switch to sleep with a button and come right back to it. I recommend this game.

Bought this for $19.99. Kid wanted it on XBOX, but it is $60 for XBOX. He loves this game and can play it on the go with the Switch.

Wow what a deal! Got this game on an insane deal. Such a fun game, another great title added to my Switch collection.

Great value for money, although I'm not convinced that it really belongs on a portable console. If I were to choose a platform I think it would more suitable for a PC, if just for the benefit of having a mouse and a keyboard. Regardless, if you're into strategy games then this is a must. It's a quality game but probably not for < 15 years old. Buy them a Mario title instead!

I think they have done an admirable job of porting this over. Graphics are good, text is easy to read, and the controls aren't bad at all...you can even use touch screen for a few of the commands. I took off one star because I read many reviews stating the game slows down between turns ad you get further in. I'm not there yet, so I can't confirm. So far I'm loving it.

This game is amazing. A bit complicated and hard to learn. Super fun once you have figured it out.

This is not a game for kiddos - not because of anything "adult", but because it is NOT easy. There are many layers of strategy to figure out from natural resources, food production, military maneuvers, and government policies. You'll think you're doing well and then you'll get stomped on by Gandhi in 1735 . . .not that I'm bitter about that situation at all. Plus, you're always just going to want to keep playing . . . one more turn.

If you like the computer version you will love this. Great port and looks great on the switch! Great to be able to take it with you too!

Bery addictive game, Good controlee and game play, easy to play

Good port of Civ VI, especially for a portable system. Touch screen controls are great for navigating some of the menus. I played it entirely in handheld and the graphics looked good but after a few hundred turns the game did start to lag and lose frame rate from time to time. Other than that it preforms admirably. It is priced quite well too.

Great strategy game. Yes, it’s getting a few years old now, but the game is huge and this is an excellent port from the PC version (complete with the cheesy cut scenes.) definitely not a ‘quick play’ game as the tutorial alone took me a couple hours to get through. No online play though, so one star off for that as multiplayer is local only.

Very fun game and quite challenging. A great buy if you want something to play on the go or even in docked mode.

Look, if you're a PC gamer, this isn't gonna give you the same joy as the pull blown game... especially if you've loaded it with expansions. But this is definitely one of the best console Civ ports yet. Grab it on PC if you can (it's probably cheaper) but for n easy to jump into version you can take with you on Switch, this ain't bad

Personally, as a fan of strategy/puzzle games with a perfect mix of history and some good ole conquest, I think it’s a great game. I haven’t fully figured out if it’s an exact full version of the game as the pc version, but it checks out so far. Civ fans new and old, u can now run your empire from your hands while you poop.

Best Civ Game yet!!! only problem with it is I can't play it on my switch!! Why, well because my son loves it too and he has taken over the switch copy, so I have been playing it on the PC. But it is so cool that he loves this series too. I can't wait for the next DLC, I will have to get it on the PC and on the switch so we both can continue to play and enjoy the new features like Volcanos and river floods etc.... They keep improving this already perfect game.

Runs and plays really well on switch, very fun pick up and play game

This game is very fun and a well needed addition to the switch. I own this for pc as well and all though the graphics aren’t as great and there is some stutter when everyone’s civilization gets huge, the switch handles it well and nothing is an eye sore to look at. I was surprised at how well the controls work for this game, took me maybe 10 minutes of gameplay to get use to them. Looks great portable and on the tv so it’s a thumbs up for me

Since this game does not come with instruction book or a map to lay out what you are trying to accomplish it is much harder than the computer version. Played for about an hour and realized I need to find some good instructions to make it easier. Not a game you can just pick up and play. I am hoping it becomes really fun once I better understand.

Bought this for the switch because I love to play this game and is perfect game to play on long road trips or when needing to kill some time. However, if you are familiar with the Civ game series, the developers changed the gameplay just a enough that it gets confusing. It is not a show stopper though, if you happen to get stumped on something in the game, just reference what you need to know on You Tube. I promise you that you will find your answer on there. Overall, I am happy that I made this purchase
