I had never played Civilization before, so buying it was simply out of intrigue and curiosity. I’m so glad I finally went for it, because I’m loving it. I’m a full time college student and mother to a 4-year-old, and this game has become my number 1 pastime during this winter break.

A lot of fun but there is a learning curve. It does a good job advising you with recommendations on what to advance but you can play how you want. It is a great strategy game and being able to play it on the go makes it an excellent buy.

Caught this on sale and couldn’t resist buying. I used to play the series when I was younger and wanted a game I could pick up and play in small blocks of time on the Switch. The game didn’t disappoint, still the same game I loved as a kid.

When I was younger I used to play games like Age of Empires, Sim City, Roller Coaster Tycoon, etc. on the computer. But I got away from that as I moved towards consoles with less dedicated computer games. That’s why I’m so excited to jump back into that world with Civ 6! It’s great!

Bought this game for my brother. Was confusing how to play it at first since the game does not guide you on how to play it but once you get the hang of it, the game is fun. Dominating cities or the world pretty cool.

It's a faithful port of the PC game to the Switch, and plays great. Performance issues crop up sometimes, but I find it doesn't detract from the game too much. There are two downsides that I see. One, which doesn't bother me because I mainly play alone, is the limited options for multiplayer -- there is local wireless (so each player needs their own console and game copy) and currently that's it. No online, and currently there is no single-device multiplayer, although I've heard it's something that will be added in an update. The other downside is that a few parts of the interface seem optimized for touch-screen use, which only works in handheld mode, making it a little clunky at times playing on the TV with a controller.

I feel it would be better played on PC but from what I understand there is the ability for cross platform save states if I ever wanted to play on-the-go. Good strategy game.

Now that the Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm DLCs are available for Civ 6 on the Switch, this is a must have game for any single-player fan and for the series. The controls are pretty good on the Switch, though they take a bit of time to get used to.

Great port for switch. You can play civilization on the go with this port and it’s pretty awesome! Takes some getting used to as it has been dumbed now from the pc version but still great to play.

A classic redone and on the Switch for an amazing deal. I got mine for eight bucks. Super happy with this because its hours of playtime at a price that won't break the bank.

A great turn based civ building strategy game. It is so deep that I have barely been able to scratch the surface. I normally play these games on PC but having it in portable form is a lot of fun.

Great game is you like strategy games. I loved games like Age of Empires back when I played on a PC and have always wondered if they could bring the same experience to a consol and this game does. Highly recommend

Hands down my favorite way to pass the time. After all who doesn't like trying their hand at world domination? I've played all of the games in the franchise and this is by far the best one yet. You won't be disappointed.

Originally ordered this from Amazon but when they failed to deliver it on the scheduled day, I cancelled the order and walked into Best Buy. Same Price and no need to depend on crappy delivery services. Game is great. Hours of fun of world domination.

Extremely interesting game. This was my first civilization game and I am hooked! Pass and play multiplayer is great with friends and you can literally spend the entire day playing this. I don’t usually buy DLC, but I bought it for this.

I am new to the civilization series but so far it has been a fun experience. The controls can be a little complicated but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a nice way to spend a few hours of your day.

Honestly, I can't get this to work for an extended period of time. The game freezes up on me fairly routine when playing it on my Switch. However, it's really fun when it plays correctly.

Wanted something to keep busy and pass the time on a long flight and it did not disappoint. The controls took a little while to get used to but the touch screen made it a little more forgiving.

I haven’t played a console Civ game in many years, so this is a bit intimidating with how in depth it is. Will take some learning but I think it will be a great buy.

Love civilization—super affordable for switch, but it does crash during line games—not much play is lost (only about 1 turn). Overall, exactly what you would expect from this game
